Here's hoping AP doesn't go quietly into that good night. A cast recording or dvd would serve very well.
I've booked my fourth viewing. It doesn't matter to me what else is playing this season; I found what I'd been waiting for. Thank you so much for literally cutting through the path of least resistance and bringing something unforgettable to Broadway. Your flame went out too quickly, but you sure burned brightly!

And thank you-- this is one of my favorite shows and it breaks my heart that I could only see it once and that not enough people appreciated it like I did! The show is so innovative and technically gorgeous in addition to amazing songs and great staging. Thank you and everyone involved for everything and I really hope that it has a life im the future!

I loved this show without even seeing it. I knew from the moment I listened to the London album that it was a special show. I planned on seeing it when I come for my college orientation in late June but I won't have the chance now. I usually prefer older musicals and Sondheim but I really got into this score! Please please please make a broadway cast album! We need a good recorded version of Selling Out!

I would GLADLY give money for a kickstarter for an American Psycho OBC, just saying! Thanks for the great show and the great post! See, message boards can be a warm & cuddly place (ironic that American Psycho bought out the good!)

Maybe the crowds didn't come running, but many who saw it DID appreciate it. Greatly, for that manner. My baby boomer parents were mixed on the score, but were blown away by the lighting and projections. The show has raised the bar for future shows that use that technology.
I truly enjoyed the show and look forward to the future it has with groups that want to take a risk.

Thank you for bringing this show to Broadway.
Thank you for reminding everyone that art is not dead, that theater can still be original.

I'm among the minority that do not particularly love the show but still had a great time at Schoenfeld. Although this show is not everyone's first pick, how it experiments with theater as an art form is always inspiring and laudable. I'm wondering whether it would run longer if more seats are put on discount (say 30%-40%) on Telecharge, so you don't have to sell them at 50% off last minute at TKTS. The premium pricing ($255 I think) is also discouraging for a side orchestra seat. Maybe it's a good idea for a new show like AP to offer more discount options, so word of mouth can create more buzz and help future ticket sale. It definitely has what it takes to last longer than this run, and it's a shame that many people won't get the chance to experience something other than formulaic musical comedies and jukebox musicals that Broadway is teeming with.

Hey, if anyone from the Schoenfeld is reading this, please tell your front of house staff that everyone sitting in the right rear orchestra could hear them LOUDLY talking during the second act of today's matinee. That's unacceptable. If you wouldn't tolerate it of audience members then don't engage in that kind of behavior yourselves. Try to show some decorum during the few performances you have left.

Has this been filmed for the library archives yet? Please tell me that some visual record of this show will exist in the future. From what's online now, there isn't even a decent picture of the set.

Aww, this is really touching that Seth would take the time to reach out to the boards. I'm glad our support has proven comforting in some way. I definitely liked the show -- have never laughed harder at a Broadway performance than that crazy first act closer -- but my brother, who had never seen the movie before and knew very little about the plot and who rarely sees theater, absolutely loved it. He came away just delighted and happy and excited by what you guys put on, and that was really fun for me to see as well as a testament to your show.

Considering the slimy Spring Awakening stuff that is turning a lot of people off, Seth, your posting speaks volumes about character!

THAT'S what I needed to hear! And I'll be there for the closing performance as well.
AND I'm in for an OBCR, too! Ghostlight, you listening?

I would give to an OBCR fund too. It would be a real shame if this cast went unrecorded.

Me too. Raising for a prospective cast album would be a very different prospect than that one campaign that is generating so much controversy the moment...

Thank you! I've seen a lot of shows, but this was one of the few shows where my jaw dropped from the opening and stayed that way until the end. Unique, original, sexy, funny, eerie. It was everything. My sister, who is extremely critical, and a business woman, loved every second of it.
From a designer view, this show was stunning. Every little thing about it was perfect. I saw it and left for two weeks from college and am seeing if I can move up my train ticket to get a chance to see it again, because I cannot end it yet. Thank you!!!

I must say I am very thankful I was able to see this show twice while it was playing. It was one of three shows I was recommending to people (I work for an airline and will talk up shows with passengers). God knows I got a chuck of people in there to see American Psycho! The best were the last two flight attendants I worked with. When it was over they could not stop talking about it all night and the entire next day on the plane. And then came the sad announcement was made. =(
