Perez Hilton or Paris Hilton
A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

BNN, hahaha I agree. A Rose-off would be phenomenal. But Patti would obviously kill everyone and then make a 2 hour speech about it.

Had to bump this... I'm SO curious now!!!
Will it be Mary & Jackie? Perhaps Ethel from the afterworld?
The suspense is killin' me.

"Jane Krakowski & Tina Fey?"
What a brilliant suggestion. That would be AMAZING

They could open with a medley of Night Cheese & Mystic Pizza.

And then hopefully go right into Midnight Train to Georgia and that "I Love America" song

And for the big finale, Elaine Stritch descends from the rafters singing "Buenos Aires"

How about someone who will cut the BS and just move the show along. Let the time go to scenes from plays and musicals - the stuff they're all there for. I'd love to see little clips actually SHOWING the actors acting and the choreography. Actually I'd be happy if they'd just go ahead and make the awards announcements and then follow it with a TV special filled with all those little clips. Let people who don't live in NY know just what these shows are all about. Maybe it will bring a few of them in!

If they want to get people to watch, they should go with someone like Hugh Jackman or Oprah. I also like the idea of Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski.

Unfortunately, I highly doubt Tina Fey would host the Tonys. She has zero connection to the theater world.
I'd love to see NPH do it, but I feel like he wouldn't get people watching. And Hugh Jackman probably won't take it on after doing the Oscars so recently.
There probably just won't be a host, which is sad, because I love having Tony hosts. Whoopi did a great job, and had a platform with wide viewership (The View) to pimp the show.
How about a group of hosts? Like, Catherine Zeta Jones for the song-and-dance, and Joan Rivers for the comedy.

...No host again this year?
Cause we all know how well that worked a few years ago. (Sarcasm.)

Susan Boyle would be amazing!! And she's the most popular performer right now on the Internet. She would bring in ratings like never before!! Her opening number could be a reprise of "I Had a Dream".

Patti would object to the television cameras in Radio City Music Hall and stop the show until they were removed.
Those of us at home would then be staring at a blank screen for the remainder of the show.

Can we, as a board, collectively agree that Patti/camera jokes have officially passed their expiration date?

I've had the same avatar since the day you joined. Or have you been here before?
You should hang out with TooDarnHot and TheCharleston. They always hated my avatars too! Wonder where they went...
