I still think Linda Emond was a major oversight. But I'm decidedly on Team Becky Shaw, since it's one of the most wildly entertaining nights on Broadway. I haven't sat in a house that laughed that much since before the lockdown.

When I saw Chess, Hannah sounded amazing… toe to toe vocally with Lea and Nicholas.
Both The Queen of Versailles and Two Strangers… have a better score than Schmigadoon (I will happily die on this hill).
Titanique or Two Strangers… should have at least taken Best Book.

Absolutely insane that the poorly-directed revival of Ragtime, which does nothing different and is actually worse than many other productions of the show, took home the award. The production a couple of years ago at Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA was miles better than this revival.
It is extremely sad and pathetic that the Tony voting body made this choice, and I feel sorry for the Tony voters who actually have a little bit of sense and cast their vote for Cats - since the rest of the voters ruined this award. Perhaps the Tony voting body needs some major turnover.

No, it's extremely sad and pathetic you think they should get 857 brand new Tony voters because you... disagreed with their decision? I didn't think Schmigadoon should have won for anything but Im not about to suggest everyone needs to be replaced because of my feelings. Get a grip.

They clearly went with the safe boring choices in each category. I just wish they would push for the more innovative, interesting choices.
