Overall, I liked it. A few surprises, some good, some not. Performance wise, GFNC was really entertaining and is the first thing I've seen that made me want to see it. Maybe it'll tour or play regional soon?
Paradise Square was a good performance of a decent song in a bad show. It may pack them in on tour though, so who knows how it will fare?
Six felt like a good representation of the energy and overall tone of the show. This goes hand in hand with my recommendation to listen to Ex Wives. You'll know pretty quickly if this show is for you or not.
MJ was exactly what I expected, which is not of interest to me personally, but I can see it doing good business for a while.
ASL, well...I love the score, and am dying to see the show. I think maybe it's hard to give a 5 minute performance that gives you a good feel for the show as a whole. It's like Passing Strange, didn't love the Tony performance (because I didn't know what was going on) but the show is a favorite.
Company and Music Man were fine, if weird choices. I wouldn't be swayed one way or another to go or not by either.
Shocked at Sharon Clarke's loss, her performance was so incredible in a challenging show. Interested to see if voters split or if it was a runaway for Joaquina, who is wonderful and is doing her best but that show cannot be saved.
I like that a lot of shows won, the zietgeist sweep years are always so boring to me, ad I usually find a few of them undeserved. There wasn't a runaway hit this year and the results mirrored that.

I felt compelled to respond to this, because I completely understand it. When Dana H and Is This A Room were playing, I rushed to Room but for a while thought Dana H couldn't possibly be terribly exciting theatrically. I was completely incorrect - it was totally thrilling. The audio in and of itself is compelling and complex and horrifying, but O'Connell's particular interpretation of it was equally thrilling. Her performance was so detailed, and it absolutely added to the qualities that made the audio so captivating. It was not as simple as a lip synced performance, it was a really exciting combination of theatrical elements, anchored by a fully, richly realized live performance by an incredible actor. Trust me, it wasn't what you would expect from a "lip synced ... performance".
Alexander Lamar said: "I see a lot of “interesting” comments online about Billy Porter…when did the tide change about his popularity? It seemed like he had a meteoric rise and then people were sick of him."
The tides started to change once he went after Harry Styles for the Vogue cover…basically painting himself as the first man to ever wear women’s clothing in mainstream fashion, which was incredibly stupid.
