This is a stretch perhaps for greatest ever, but after encountering the recording sessions of Bridges of Madison County on YouTube first time long time, I would add Steven Pasquale.
"It All Fades Away"
"One Second and a Million Miles"
Steven played Billy in the Chicago Lyric Opera House 2015 production of Carousel and was highly praised
Isherwood: The production is as beautifully sung as anything on Broadway right now, with Mr. Pasquale in particular standing out for his moving Billy. He brings the first act to an electrifying climax with his powerful rendering of “Soliloquy,”
HuffPost: Lyric Opera of Chicago’s production is a Carousel for the ages. As brooding carnival barker Billy Bigelow, Steven Pasquale gives one of the most heart-stopping performances I’ve seen in a musical in recent memory.
We learn that there were serious discussions of bringing this production to Broadway, but ultimately a new and unlucky production had a disappointing run.
It was also unlucky for Steven Pasquale.
Mmm I love those vocal tracks, too. I was surprised he didn't get nominated for a Tony for Bridges. Was there really no spot??
I love Carolee Carmello and Donna Murphy. I am in heaven when I hear them live.
On the male side, my favorite is Brian Stokes Mitchell. I finally saw him live in "Shuffle Along".
Brittain Ashford showed off one of the most uniquely colored voices I've ever heard on a broadway stage in Great Comet. She's up there for me and I hope she gets another plum role soon.
Damon Daunno has become my favorite crooning leading man with his turns in Oklahoma! and Hadestown. When he goes high, I go o0ohhhhh.
Someone please do a vehicle for the two of them.

Hands down—Betty Buckley. Not sure why she didn’t have a larger Broadway presence except by choice, because she has such a strong, unique voice.
Ramin Karimloo—amazing and so much range.
