fxy2003cmu, it seems that you don't accept PMs, but I was wondering if you could give me the low-down on the rush policy-- times to arrive, etc., as I am going to be in Chicago in April and am interested in not paying for premium seats.
It'll be interesting to see Bryan McElroy in with this cast.

I don't even know how to fix my stupid BWW profile to fix that, but this is what happened to me as far as the rush. I went Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, got there by 9 am and had no problem getting tickets. Friday, however, I had to squeeze in with some other people who were buying an odd number of tickets so I could get one of the front row tickets. There were TONS of people there by like 9:15 so on the busier days you might want to get there earlier. I would say 8 at the earliest though. That being said, Thursday I sat in row Y in the center of the orchestra (rush seats) and the seats were fantastic. The front row at that theater is reeeeeaaaallllly close to the stage and you are bathed in stage light for the majority of the show. I like being close, however, several people that got rush tickets and sat in the front moved at intermission because a lot of the upstage stuff gets cut off. I think that after the 10 front row seats are gone they have other seats available, and they even had them available on Friday when the show was almost sold out. They're 25 dollars each and you can buy 2 per person of the front row ones, and as many as you want of the other ones. All the rush tickets are considered limited view.
Seems like someone on the east coast should get the show, especially the nation's capitol. I'm just saying. Have a great day everyone.
It feels like they're blacking out the entire East Coast so people have to go to Broadway...like they're doing to the West Coast so people have to go to Vegas.

Thanks! I'm planning on trying to catch a show on Saturday, which may make things more insane, but if I don't get the matinee I am willing to try for evening, or buy cheap full-price tickets if I have to.
I like sitting up front and I've seen the show enough that upstage action being obscured won't change my enjoyment at all.
So... ~8am for the matinee tickets? That will be... fun...

That's not enough. Please tell me that there is good coffee available nearby.

So wait, is it possible to get rush tickets for BOTH the matinee and the night show? Because when I emailed one of the cast members, he said he wasn't too sure, and I didn't bother digging in more on the rush tickets.
Here's a little article about the tour breaking records in Tampa, with a nice photo of the guys. And it mentions that this Friday will be the tour's 500th performance.
ETA: I swear I thought I put the link up. But yeah I was talking about the article that Lizzie posted a link to.
As far as coffee....there's a caribou down the street to the west less than a block away. Around the corner on state street is a Starbucks and a few more blocks south there is a Dunkin Donuts. So yes, lots of coffee.
As far as buying for both shows I have NO idea about that. I didn't ask ever, and I never tried, so I guess it's all up to you!
New Merch, guitars with Jersey Boys inspired designs on them. Or just the decals to stick on your own. Or gifts from the producers for their 500th show. Who the hell knows, we'll probably find out in the next update. Updated On: 3/12/08 at 11:44 PM
Fools! It is CLEARLY a chalk outline, signifying that there will be a JB-themed CSI episode.
