The one Chris and Andrew did has a some nice moments in it. Like the the mention of a guy getting tasered at one of the shows, panties being thrown on stage, and a Q&A secession with the audience.
This past August the Chicago cast of JB and the National tour of Avenue Q did a benefit show together while they were both in SF, benefitting BC/EFA and the Richmond/Erment AIDS Foundation. Didn't realize photos from the show were posted on the Richmond/Erment AIDS Foundation website. I don't know if these were posted in the thread but I don't feel like digging through it to check, if they were then my bad. Anyway if you want to check them out here's the link to them. http://tinyurl.com/2fca2m
I just saw them last night! A friend of mine was going into town for a grad school interview so I tagged along and made her go to the show. She loved it. John Michael Dias was on as Frankie (I believe Jarrod was on vacation last week, and possibly sick for the beginning of this week. He was back on tonight) and Ryan Quinn West who usually does the Hank Majewski track was on for Bob. Drew was evidently sick for the evening show and Ryan found out he was to go on 45 minutes before curtain.
JMD was great and I think the more he performs the better he gets. He was really on last night. Ryan was really good as Bob. He did a great job, especially for finding out he was going on so late. I loved his ending monologue. Last night was my first time seeing Bryan McElroy. I thought he did a pretty good job, especially in the sit-down scene. He did an admirable job but I'm not going to lie. I miss Jeremy.
Great interview with Michael. He is really one of the nicest people I have ever met. I saw him back in Tick Tick Boom and he was so fantastic. He's great everytime in the show and is just amazing. I love JB Chicago. Updated On: 4/4/08 at 01:36 AM
So first preview it tonght with opening scheduled on May 3rd. Here's an interview from the Las Vegas Review Journal. It's the ususal background about the show one, but it has a photo of the Vegas seasons. http://www.lvrj.com/neon/17290704.html

Yay! I saw Ryan's first performance as Bob (I think he had an hour and a half's notice) and really liked him. :)
Thanks for the recap! Who was on as Hank/Mika?

I remember when I saw Ryan go on as Bob, John Hickman was doing that track. I remember howling for laughter because I think his Mika wig was hilarious. Hilariously bad. ;D
If anyone is going tonight, bring a video camera and tape it. Come through for Taylor, and post the clips for the rest of us. http://twitter.com/taylorishere/statuses/784177723 Updated On: 4/7/08 at 12:55 AM
I saw the show on the 5th (2nd preview) and there was a magnificent energy among the cast members and audience alike.
Erich, Jeremy and Jeff did amazingly as expected and my personal accolade for the night goes to Rick.
Rick improved the most and have gone a long way from his understudy days at the 1NT and hits his high notes with ease specially the mood for love part, ctmeoy and another high part that is mostly troublesome whoever plays it….the ohhh part on wlam.
Some minor changes that I have noticed that didn’t affect the integrity of the show are some shortened dialogues and song numbers.
Going in details about the cut part....
I am 95% sure these are some minor changes I noticed or I am just on crack :P
1. Ces soir opening seemed a little bit shorter. 2. Frankie Nolan's Audition is cut shorter. 3. Ape suit line "go **** yourself" was removed. 4. Oh What a Night love scene between Bob and Blonde downstairs. 5. My Girlfriend's back seems shorter. 6. There's an 8 minute short break and they show vintage roadtrip videoshots of places that the 4 Seasons have performed at like SF, NY, Jersey etc...in 3 giant screens! 7. Bob and Nick's american wetdream part is shortened. 8. Rick still does the splits.
...and some minor ones that I have forgotten since I don't have the playbill with me.
People just have to see it for yourselves and the company is in the greatest shape it has ever been….
I could only imagine how opening night would be.
Fabulous sound system, lighting and overall theater appearance with 2 large extra led screens on each sides of the stage making it 5 now.
For those seeing Jersey Boys this week and next…..a small treat:
See the best little hidden secret of Las Vegas…
Society of seven with LV singer of the year, diva extraordinaire….
Lani Misalucia!
They do an impression of Frankie Valli and also sings other broadway hits and hits of all time including the supremes, celine dion, etc.
See the show in the main flamingo showroom before they close nxt week and go on tour!
Ditto on Rick. Very! very! awesomely impressive! Tommy's apesuit line "Go **** yourself" is intact, it's the "Rob a bank" line that was removed.
OTHER CUTS: 1. Crewe's intro for the boys in Hall of Fame scene was cut short. 2. Crew's conversation with Bob before the "Play the ****ing song already!" rant was also cut short. 3. Record producer's "Don't have a heart attack in my office" line was removed.
Bob's downstairs sex scene was weird. First I thought the actor flubbed her lines, then they went 'downstairs.' Can't see the rationale for that change.
Nice to hear the chages they put in for the Vegas productions alot of them sound like they work, but a few I wish they didn't change. But the show might not be locked so a few more changes could be made before opening.
And I think in the Broadway production, Bob has sex downstairs. I think they changed it when the show went out on the road.
