Has anyone seen this one? I loved it, including how many theatre vets were in it including my beloved Judith Light (can we get her back in a play please!), Ralph Fiennes, John Leguizamo, Janet McTeer and Reed Birney.
It also struck me as the sort of drama that could probably be quite well adapted to the stage. Anyone else agree?

It was my favorite movie of 2022, and yeah, I would love to see it adapted to the stage. It could easily work, too, as either a play or a musical.

I totally agree - I was thinking how cool it would be if they did something like the on stage seating for 'Network' where they served dinner beforehand. The meal could be directly inspired by the dishes in the show - how much fun would that be?

From the trailers, It wasn’t at all the film I was expecting so when I was laughing my ass off from start to finish, several people in the audience were looking at me like i was insane. Just an insanely brilliant film.

Same here. I was surprised how much I laughed out loud.

Yeah it was not at all the movie I was expecting from the trailers, and it took me a bit to adjust. Overall I thought it was fine.

Funny, the teaser trailer totally gave me "dark comedy," and that's exactly what I got.

I wish I had liked it as much as everyone else. Maybe I owe it another watch...

Lol, I'd love to see how the bread plate gag works when the audience is on the receiving end of it.
I didn't catch what they did in Network (I did see it), but if you have a limited amount of tables paying like a $1,000 price point per seat, to receive a version on The Menu courses while the actors are eating them onstage that would be fascinating. The audience class dynamics between the people being served and the people in "cheap seats" might be just as interesting as the play.

I felt the same way, I enjoyed it but don't seem to be as in love with it as a lot of people are and not entirely sure the ending completely gelled with me.

Aimee Carrero (who plays John Leguizamo's assistant) is also a regular theater performer, who most recently played Honey in the Los Angeles production of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? with Calista Flockhart and Zach Quinto.

I thought it was terrifically fun, but Judith Light was wasted in the role, IMO.

I loved it. There’s a certain branch of grinning showbiz nihilism that always grabs me, but it comes along so rarely. My first time seeing Pippin was unforgettable. Ditto my first time seeing The Dark Knight, and Perfume. Now this too.
