Well? What scene from a Broadway show has caused you to grin the most ridiculously humongously?
For me, I'd have to say the dance break during "One Step Closer" in "The Little Mermaid." Something about that sequence just gets me...
That, and the counterpoint part of "One Day More" in Les Miserables as well as "Beggars At The Feast." I cannot watch those scenes without smiling from ear to ear.
every comment Schmerg makes.
I think I grinned like a silly ninny during most of The Drowsy Chaperone. and my face always hurts after You Gotta Get a Gimmick.
Every post Cartwheel and Mikers and the rest of the Gaymates post.
They leave me in STITCHES!!!

Oh my, how could I forget Spamalot? I think my lips were ready to fall off during the "I'm All Alone" Sequence, when the entire chorus came onstage and sang, "He's all alone!" Though Spamalot in general is a musical that rips your face apart, in the best possible way, of course.
When Liza appeared onstage on December 5, 2008.
The entirety of YOU CAN'T STOP THE BEAT.
rOcKS, I know exactly what you mean! I have never heard a version of that song that doesn't make me insanely happy, not even when it's just my brother singing all of the roles in the shower.
Also, the song that always makes me giddy, despite the fact that I've never seen the show live, is "Into The Fire" from The Scarlet Pimpernel. Watching the Tony performance or listening to it on the cast recording, there's just this ridiculously infectious enthusiasm.
Urinetown makes me smile in general.
So does the title number in Xanadu.
Second, Beggar at the Feast (if done right)

Ah, Chita Rivera in Bye Bye Birdie when she dances for the guys in fezes(spelling? Fezi, fezs). I can't even remember the song, but I enjoyed the dance, it was unexpected - I was still a kid though and not that an experienced audience.

Finally seeing "Music and the Mirror" in person.
I would say the biggest goofy grin would be last weekend at Hairspray. Pretty much the whole show. But when the curtain first comes up for Good Morning Baltimore and from then on. Getting to see Harvey and Marissa (!) made me grin like an idiot for two and a half hours.
The runners up would be Avenue Q, Xanadu and some parts of Legally Blonde (most recently the tour. Rhiannon is pretty funny and every time Natalie Joy Johhnson really let loose on Ireland or other parts...yeah girl!!!)

Normally, for most shows I see, the minute I walk into the house, I get this giddy-floating on air- feeling that barely goes away until the next day...
But the one thing that made me "Grin The Most Ridiculously Humongous" was closing night as A Chorus Line. I know it was a sad night, but it was BY FAR the best night of night of theater I've experienced. Every song got a standing ovation that lasted at least two minutes. "Nothing" and "What I did for Love" got well over 5 mins of applause. (And tears)
=]
You Can't Stop the Beat, "Suddenly" from XANADU and "Dancing Queen" from MAMMA MIA, are the ones that popped first into my mind !
My face muscles hurt every time I'm watching the post-curtain call "concert" portion of MAMA MIA. It's a very happy moment and I can't stop smiling thorugh the whole thing!
What a great way to send an audience home!
"All About Ruprecht" (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels). I guess "grin" isn't quite right. I was falling off my seat with uncontrollable laughter.
I couldn't stop smiling during the In the Heights finale, and every time I see Spring Awakening Totally F-cked has me grinning from ear to ear.
Julie White's entire performance in "The Little Dog Laughed"
"I Go To Rio" from THE BOY FROM OZ.

So many moments make me smile in shows I have seen but what tops the list is when I see someone I know (in real life, not stage doored!) is on stage. I can't help grinning ear to ear!

Lindsay K. Northen's 2nd time ever going on as Glinda in Wicked this past May. I had the biggest smile on my face the whole night.
Also Totally F****d from Spring Awakening. I was in onstage seats and I was watching Alex Socha and she was just losing it laughing so that made me smile and laugh also.

Ahh, Kirby I totally agree! I was there as well, and it really was one of the most incredible nights of theatre I have ever experienced.
Also, I'll echo Drowsy. I couldn't stop smiling the entire time. And, well, [title of show]. Anything involving that cast just makes me grin hugely.
