What's the most you've paid for an out of print cast recording?
$42 (including shipping) For 86 Revival Recording of SWEET CHARITY.
More than I wanted to spend, but it was worth the price.

I found a fool on "Buy It Now" who sold it for 8 bucks. I lucked out on that one!
More than I'd ever publicly state...
.50 cents for an original Phantom recording at a Garage Sale
You were robbed blind!
Now I feel like sh*t..
I didn't know the original Phantom is out of print...
ljay - is that the one with Debbie Allen?
Don't feel bad ljay. I lucked out. It's nearly impossible to find it for 8 bucks. Once in a while you'll find a naive seller who has no idea what they are selling is worth.
Yes, Ljay is referring to the Debbie Allen/Michael Rupert/Bebe Neuwirth album.
I only have it on record. I'd love to have the CD.

The most I've spent is $40 for the Original London cast recording of 'She Loves Me.'
Wasn't there supposed to be a reissue of that Charity recording sometime this year?
Drg was supposed to reissue it, but I'm pretty sure that plan has been abandoned.
about $50.
for the original london cast recording of promises, promises
starring betty buckley and tony roberts.
this was back in '94.
i got it from footlight records.
it was a classic 33 1/2 rpm record album.
remember those?

So...LJAY!
Did I ever tell you how much I LOVE Christina Applegate as Charity and the current revival?
Just kidding.
Lord - the best thing I ever saw was Gwen Verdon teaching Debbie Allen the dance steps.
Well Coleman loved what he saw and heard of Christina, so that says enough.. :)
hehe. But anyway. I know a site that has a video of the Charity benefit concert, with performances by Gwen, Debbie, and Bebe. I am tempted to buy it.

Marquise - I love the London "Promises" album. My friend gave me a copy of an LP to mp3 transfer and its one of my favorites. I just love how Betty Buckley sings the role of Fran.
I found a copy of the Juliet Prowse SWEET CHARITY at a yard sale in Jersey for $1.
I sent $45 on a CD of Romance Romance as a gift for a friend. I believe it's back in print now.
^ Wow. MEF. I wish I could get lucky like that, sometime.

Yard sales and used cd stores are the best. You never know what you're going to find!
i haven't listened to mine in years.
as a matter of fact i don't have a turntable!
the Lp cover is now framed and hangs in my media room.
ROMANCE ROMANCE is, indeed, back in print.
My fear is that I will buy out of print items and they will announce the reissue the day I buy it.
I was thinking of making a CD from my cassette of Romance Romance, but I may just bite the bullet and buy it again.

BobbyBubby - I have that same qualm. That is why I'll settle for burned copies and my LPs of "110 in the Shade" and "High Spirits" till the chance for a reissue. (One can only hope).
