Just got an e-mail from Playbill about Passing Strange:
"EXCLUSIVE $41.50 CLUB MEMBER EVENT!
On Wednesday, June 4th, Playbill members can see PASSING STRANGE for only $41.50* and experience an exclusive, member-only talk back with the cast"
The code to use is PSHNDPB and only 100 tickets will be sold. I'm considering taking a personal day from work (assuming that this is for the maintee performance.)
SCARYOTYPES - did you guys watch that incredible perf on the OBIE"S live webcast??? UN ****in REAL!! That newish arrangement was OUT OF THE BALLPARK!! (i'm downloading the entire webcast)
Oh my Gosh that was unbelievable. You downloaded it... awesome. I was wondering about that because that performance deserves to be watched over and over and over. WOW!
I am so glad I had the great timing to turn it on during Keys!
"Picture "The View," with the wisecracking, sympathetic sweethearts of that ABC television show replaced by a panel of embittered, suffering or enraged Arab women" -the Times review of Black Eyed
I'll try to email it to you Caroline, if you PM your email address.... It's practically the whole webcast, so the PS perf is about 60% into the show. I see that the video link can not be posted on YouTube.)

As the Tonys approach, some posts get very passionate about their likes and dislikes for certain shows. Some posters have lately called PS a lot of things - filth, garbage, etc. I suggest to not react to these at all. I think we're a secure enough group and respect their opinions, as harsh as they sound. When people are presented with unconventional art it's not unusual to reject it immediately, not everyone is as welcoming :)
Listen, I don't take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is "artistic". - JANICE
one of the posters had said that Stew is a "NOTHING" and that he could be replaced by any other black guy. I was pretty pissed about it at first, but then I realized that the poster's opinion meant absolutely nothing to me.
Yankeefan, I don't know about TDf, but when I saw the show last Tuesday, they were out of rush tickets, so I got a balcony seat and was moved down the mezz. I was in the 3rd to last row, but I think even the last row of the mezz has a great view. This was my first time seeing the show from upstairs. It's more rockin downstairs though.
