Proud to be named a Scaryotype, thank you. Can I buy a Scaryotypes t-shirt somewhere? Saw someone wearing one at the album release party last night.
I've seen Passing Strange 7 times, and going again on Friday (Thank you, TDF). Is there a personal record for number of times seeing the show (other than ushers, etc)?
For some reason when I selected a file in ITunes the only conversion option was "Convert to AAC."
For Soundtaxi the free version easily converted the files, but it said "Trial version shortened the track to 90 seconds." So that wouldn't be good either. I just coughed up the 20 bucks this morning and was able to get the files converted and onto my Zen by 7 when I had to leave.
I realize I could've burned them to a cd and then back, but I didn't have any blank cds in the house!!
BTW- I listened to it three times through already today. One the way to work, lunch break and the way back, when I walked from work to the Xanadu cupcake thing!
musicalmaster, please edit your link using tinyurl.com, it's messing up the page.

I saw this show tonight and I fell in LOVE. This show is so unique and wonderful, and it just pours from the heart. I could relate to so much of it and I think many people can. It had me in tears at the end.

it was in the top 25 early this morning.
I've always been a fan of the show, since I saw it, but I am becoming absolutely OBSESSED with the music. Still not a fan of the first few Berlin numbers but everything else is absolutely amazing!!
Welcome to the SCARYOTYPES, Chrysanthemum62001.
go 4 the record, i say....let stew and heidi know.
I can't stop listening to the recording. All I can say is, I smell a GRAMMY AWARD for this cast recording. I thought I wouldn't like the Berlin songs. But after repeated listening, and listening to the lyrics. It surely fits in nicely to the score. LOVE IT!!!!! And welcome to all the new Scaryo's!!!!!

Sorry, what are you guys talking about? 8, and 10... and what not. Number of times you listened to the OBCR so far?
I'm still trying to figure out how In the Heights is like Rent.

Hey SALLY...what was the Delacorte performance like? I missed that one.
I've now listened to the cast recording while mowing the lawn. I wonder what else I can do while listening to this awesomeness.
love the album! can't stop listening to it. thanks stew for writing a great piece!
Msg. to all Scaryotypes and Liz McCann, the lead producer:
PLEASE< PLEASE< PLEASE publish the ENTIRE libretto, lyrics, everything, in paperback form. We (I) need to know EVERY WORD! of this masterpiece of poetry/rock. Could we write her a letter requesting this or something?
Tiny, I'm sure that they will include everything. Once they release the CD. I agree all the lyrics and libretto need to be included. I can't stop listening to it. La la la la a, La, la la, la, la IT'S CULTURE!

verynewyorkcurious... where do you make your ringtones at? The place I used to make one of mine really lowers the volume, so whenever my cell is even on its loudest volume option, I still don't hear it most of the time.
overthemoo:
I haven't made ringtones from this yet (although now I think I have to) but I usually make them through this website:
http://www.myxertones.com/make/
You can choose which part of the sing and how long the clip is if you customize it and the volume usually works pretty well for me.
Hope that helps!

It was really great --- the first segment was TNP stuff -- and then an abbreviated version of PS. They were trying out a lot of things --- particularly the enhancement of Mr. Venus....the cast was hot...the audience a bit thin....but it rocked!
