Hey, frogs_ Who knew the thread would be back so soon, huh? Wow, this will be an intersting performance for sure. I'm so happy for him. He deserves to be on the A list.

I ran over to Avery Fisher on a coffee break today to get my ticket. The box office attendant said that rows A-G are not on sale, she thinks because they are going to be using a stage extension. If you get a seat further back in the orchestra don't be discouraged, because you'll be probably be closer than you think.

Hey Scaryotypes, ran into a PS cast member yesterday who told me the PS movie is finished, and will premier at the Sundance Film Festival. Who's up for a trip to Utah?!
I hope PASSING STRANGE gets released in theaters instead of cable. It being at Sundasnce is a VERY good sign.
I'm a bit wistful this afternoon with the news of IN THE HEIGHTS recouping. I know there are fans of both shows on this thread, but man - PASSING STRANGE was robbed of almost every Tony it was nominated for. That was the great show of last season. It is SO superior to ITH in every way.
I liken it to the peppy, cheerful, youthful TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA beating the darker and brilliant FOLLIES.
"Hurry up and get into your conga clothes - we've got to do something to save this show!"
I agree with Tulita. I saw ITH before I saw PS and the the Tonys and I loved ITH, but then when I went to se PS I realized how many Tonys PS should have won. The one that REALLY gets me is how Boyd won over Daniel Breaker. I really regret that the first time I saw PS was closing night because I know that I would have seen it many more times. I'm happy that I was there for closing because it was CRAZY! I've never been to a show before in which n audience has gotten up mid show and danced while the cast and band just kept on improvising. I hope the movie comes out soon so I can see it again and also so more people can witness the magic of PS.
