I agree with Tulita. I saw ITH before I saw PS and the the Tonys and I loved ITH, but then when I went to se PS I realized how many Tonys PS should have won. The one that REALLY gets me is how Boyd won over Daniel Breaker. I really regret that the first time I saw PS was closing night because I know that I would have seen it many more times. I'm happy that I was there for closing because it was CRAZY! I've never been to a show before in which n audience has gotten up mid show and danced while the cast and band just kept on improvising. I hope the movie comes out soon so I can see it again and also so more people can witness the magic of PS.
OK, there are 63 pages on this thread so forgive me if this has already been mentioned... My daughter and I were watching SpongeBob (you heard me) and there is a montage when SpongeBob is looking for Gary with a song Gary Come Back playing . We both screamed THAT'S STEW!! So we youtubed it and sure enough it was Stew singing the song Gary Come Back. I loved Stew before, but now that he has a song on SpongeBob...well, now he's my hero! lol!
Thanks, CLEVER, that was very refreshing...here's another link to today's SUNDANCE Passing Strange/Spike Lee festivities posted on the other thread by ROBBIE. Enjoy.

I was in the Drama Book Shop yesterday and they had the vocal selections and libretto. Both were 16.99. I got the libretto and it has three great forwards by Heidi, Stew and Bill Bragin, former director of Joe's Pub. Although I think most of Bragin's article is culled from the liner notes of the cast recording.
some more footage of the film (BERLIN!!!) can be found in this clip clip!

Also, it was announced a week ago that "Passing Strange" will play SXSW Film Festival in March. Beyond that, there doesn't seem to be any new news right now about its future.

I think you're referring to this from "Passing Phase":
Wish we could talk about How the means will not prepare you for the ends, How your epiphanies will become fair-weather friends, How death will make you lower your defenses, The only truth of youth is the grown-up consequences.
