If you MUST ask this question, here's the place to do it.

Okay, I'll bite.
Got mezzanine, Row F, halfway down the side/end mezzanine for Hello Dolly. Paid a premium, to boot.
All so I could see it in June. Got better seats for November, but just can't wait til then.
Was v late on the uptake for this one. Don't know what I was doing other than watching the TV ads all winter on Sunday morning.
so tell me, how bad are these good seats?" How sorry will I be? Or not?

Thank you for this. I started to go through The Great Comet thread and was just overwhelmed by the size of it. How is row M orchestra center to the right of what I think is the long runway?

I sat in Row K orchestra right and I thought the seats were great. A few rows behind a runway....next to a table. Like K8 and K10 or something.

How is B2? Not sure what show yet, but that's where I plan to sit. Obstructed? Clear view?

Balcony, Row E, 2nd seat from the house right wall. Please describe, in minute detail, any action, set piece, or costume that I may or may not see. Because, you know, I'm so afraid that my experience might not be utterly perfect, that I can't commit to buying a ticket before I know these things.

I don't mind the individual seating advice threads but going to read a preview thread for reports of the show and having to sift through countless seating advise posts can be a bit annoying. Would be nice to just have the reports but I agree, being nasty to someone over it is pointless and rude. I think this board is more unique to others in that it has a very extreme cross section of ages. Still, we do all need to be kinder to each other here. Easpecially in these times.

How's J5 for Sweeney Todd? I'm a bit confused with the seating configuration. Thanks!

Maybe this a good place to remind folks, or inform if they don't already know, there is a great website that is consumer-driven where you can see other people's "view from their seat" - usually you'll find something close enough to tickets you've got or are considering for purchase.
i went to the site in advance of seeing Hello, Dolly! and was reassured from pics posted (from Matilda, but same theater) that my balcony center row D seat would be just fine - and it was!

Going to SITPWG tonight for my birthday and have Row F, Center Balcony.
I assume I'll be able to see the whole stage, but do they look like ants? Is it squint-worthy? Sound?

I thought the view was excellent, especially for the price.

I saw it last night from Balcony, Row D, seat 10 (side right). View was great! Theater is intimate, sound is great - you will have a terrific view, and easy to see facial expressions - distance is not really far...enjoy it! :)

That's a shame! Would the BO be able to move my seat if I ask? If there's availability of course.

@Steven22 Actually I just looked at the seating chart again and its the left part of Row J with the 3 seats only thats the problem. The long part (where 5 is) is fine.

Some people read Consumer's Reports before buying a 25.00 toaster.
We are a community. We are suppose to help each other out, and not just act rude and nasty and make fun of each other.
I mean seriously. This is the only board I know where people act like that towards fellow members.
You don't like seat advice posts?
Great. Thanks to this thread you don't have to come across them anymore if you so desire.
What is so ridicule worthy about that?
"Thanks for starting this post...I have asked questions and have been so put off with the arrogance - received such belittleing responses. Who are these people and why do some (not all) respond in such a manner? I deal with people every day and I treat everyone with respect. I have refrained from even asking questions. Thank you for starting this...seating questions are valid questions to many, especially those not familiar with the particular theatre. People are spending their hard earned money to attend - they certainly want to know if the seats are good. Have a great day!!

I don't think that its not a valid question, but threads like this are also hard to follow, and to find out if your question gets answered.

I'm not sure how useful general seating questions thread is, it's gonna get very hard to follow and even figure out who was answering whose question and for readers later to figure out what theater people were talking about.
I agree that seating doesn't have to be discussed in the show topics, but if you use the search function, you'll find treads discussing seating probably every theater.
What would be really useful for this board would be different subcategories and the option to pin certain topics so the many people who don't want to dig out old thread can easily find them. There could be a pinned topic for every theater to discuss seating. Unlikely to happened though I guess.

Thank you for being selfish, which is obviously what we are all here for.
