Do you think they'll make a new Cast Recording for The Woman in White? Or should I just get the London Cast Recording?
Ive wondered about this, and i hope they do, although if they dont, i won't be supprised, since the 3 female parts are the same as the london recording, and they tend to carry the show.
but i hope they do as it would be good to hear michael ball's fosco as well as ron bohmer's glyde. pluss it would be good to have a recording that includes the recent changes, small as they are, mainly the new ending that brings back the song from lamastide for the end.
I hope they do too, but if not it is ok. The London CD is great on it's own.

I wish they would.
Michael Ball in a stage musical -- and there is no record of it ???
Jo, I think you mean "Michael Ball in a BROADWAY stage musical..." since there are records of him in a couple of stage musicals -- namely Les Miserables and Chitty.

I really hope that this is true. Michael Ball's "Fosco" needs to be recorded for posterity, and after seeing Ron Bohmer as Glyde I'm even more anxious for a Broadway Cast Recording. He brings much more depth to the part and has a fabulous voice.
Aside from the new ending they've changed the lyrics to the second verse of "Evermore Without You" and changed some of the recititive.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

just like to add...
it may be on broadway but WIW isnt a BROADWAY musical....LOL...
I'm sorry, my patriotic nature means that i get annoyed when people refer to British musicals as BROADWAY
sorry lol

Well, it may have transferred from the West End, but this recording would be the original Broadway Cast recording, would it not?
Michael Ball's "Fosco" and Ron Bohemer's "Glyde" should be recorded. They're both just terrific.
Then I will be owning both cast recordings.......I'm listening to "All For Laura" right now as I'm typing and it sends shivers down my spine........................I had to pause Maria was get to the climax of the song. I can't wait to get the Broadway Cast Recording.

I'll probably end up with both too. If they changed stuff it'd be nice to have two different versions with a few new voices.

Maybe I didn't express myself clearly - let me try again
Having Michael Ball playing a role ( and singing with his golden voice) in a stage musical and not getting a recording of the show is almost unthinkable!
Thanks Now Ulla Dance! I can't wait!

If you're from NYC fenris, I found a copy of it lying around in the Tower Records on 50th street
Tower Records, ALW Rules? Or Colony? I don't remember there being a Tower Records on 50th?
