agree with Lizzie...san jose and sac are true secondary markets and SHN will have the marketing clout to bring back hamilton for a second tour stop likely ahead of the other two.
Im also cautiously optimistic that hamilton may do the wicked strategy and after doing sit down in chicago, have sit down in LA and then San Francisco(lasted 18 mos in SF), it certainly seems like the demand could be there....
Despite of still stressful purchasing experience, I think the general public sale went smoothly for SHN. I was surprised that almost all of my friends who wanted to buy Ham tickets got tickets. Even a coworker's wife who never showed any interest in theatre before got Ham tix.
Knowing that the virtual waiting room queue number is randomly assigned and put the e-mail notification to alert you when your time comes up were the key. I don't think the site crushed (it got slow for sure). I wonder if Ticketmaster can use the same mechanism for future Hamilton sales? At least you don't have to wait in front of the PC/tablet all day long.
"According to a police sources, "entitled people" perhaps unfamiliar with how passionate their fellow theater fans can be, have made the atmosphere more fraught than one might expect a theatrical queue to be, and rumor has it the police have been called to settle disputes more than once Monday morning."
