"So if you have two seats in your subscription, you are allowed to buy two extra during member sale prior to the pre-sale/general sale. Then during the presale/general sale, you can purchase up to four tickets (2+4=6) per household."

Yeah, that's what I was talking about too, the Amex Pre-Sale block, that's where we got our Mezz tickets from. So maybe there just weren't as many? But they were definitely available. I wonder if they sold early on, or something like that.
I'm hoping to get some tickets today - the general public sale. But based on how everything went last week with the Amex presale, I'm sure it will be more chaotic. Wish me luck.
Going to try my best today. I live in LA, so it won't be the worst thing if I don't get tickets, but really want to. Were there any orchestra seats $200 and under? How is this theater overall because I'm just going to get whatever I can, but want to know if there's any seats that are absolutely terrible.

Yes, there were many non-premium seats for $199 during the subscriber sale. The advice is as usual for most theatres. I don't know where the overhang starts exactly, but is likely around row "O." There is little that is done elevated from the theatre deck that would be missed from the back of the orchestra. There's a catwalk running around the stage but it's not too high (15-20 feet? - it's how Alexander arrives in NY)
I just found a seating chart that notes the overhang and it's at orchestra row P.
One other consideration is the sound in that house. It's notoriously muddy. Inexperienced/lazy sound engineers often crank up the volume which only makes it worse. However, especially since the tour starts in SF and they're rehearsing here, I'd expect that they'll have great sound. However, for other productions, you might want to avoid the first 3 rows or so beneath the lip (P-R).

Yeah, I was thinking that too, especially when I saw people on line sitting on the ground. Yuck. Walking through UN Plaza you practically need waders sometimes! Although with all the rain we've had maybe the bricks are not quite as befouled with urine. I didn't see any of SHNSF's Orange Jackets out there but there were SFPD.
BTW, I've chatted with the Orange Jackets before. Most of them are retired SFPD officers.
Saying the wait will be be "more than an hour" is a bit understated. I seem to have done something to aggravate the randomization gods. But that's OK. I can't get that excited about seeing a show with no announced cast when I was lucky enough to see it with most of the original cast in New York earlier this year. My daughter will be a little disappointed, but she saw it too. Maybe we'll win the lottery.
When I got in, there wasn't a lot of availability in March through May, but there seemed to be a lot of availability after that. I didn't want to pay $500 for tix and it seemed like most of the center orchestra were that much. I got some side orchestra seats for March and some front loge seats to the side for June.

Yeah - I think the subscriber seats made up just under half the house until mid-late May - and subscriber extra tickets were mostly purchased for the same night as their assigned tickets.
Re the tour cast: For a show as hyped as this, with an intensely blinding spotlight on it, and with the first national tour starting in San Francisco, I think it’s safe to say they will select a stellar cast. And based on what they’ve learned during the Public and Rodgers runs, as well as Chicago, the creative team will know exactly who they are looking for in a cast. I actually think the tour cast may surpass the original Broadway cast. My buying season tix to see the show (and the five others) was never motivated by the cast, but more the experience.
