Maybe if people weren't using multiple browsers the queue wouldn't be so long?

I need 2 tix. We're subscribers, so we got our two tickets and as members, I was able to purchase two more in advance. But... modern life. Long ago, we invited our best friends, and a few months ago, they added a third and are now a triad. Then we asked another friend to move into the spare room and help us around the house. So, now we need two more tickets.

Perhaps. But if they are, the numbers will go down quicker once they get a hit on one of them. (There's still a limit of 6 tickets per household)

I needed to call AMEX last night for something and the recording was along these lines...
"We are unable to take any more presale call orders for Hamilton in San Francisco. We have reached our capacity and recommend you try buying tickets at the on sale time..."

I was looking at some of SHN's mentions and some people seem to think the number is actually randomized. I dunno!

hey markbearsf-im in line with you number 6953 supposed to come up in about 30 minutes. Im getting extra tix for friends who arent subscribers. I did a second browser and was number 59000 and something....holy cow.... i know the damn ticket brokers have hundreds of browsers each attacking on days like this, so im curious how many real live ticket buyers there are on hold...
as a strategy you may want to focus on june july aug tix as those were not made available to subscribers....likely better selection. also go early in the week-tues wed
let me know how you did and ill do the same...

Will do.
(Unfortunately, I'm limited to a specific date. I really can't tell my friends "Which of the three of you wants to go in April)

My friend and I are way back in the queue. I have tickets for LA as a season ticket holder, but am trying to get tickets for my daughter for Christmas so we can drive up and see it earlier. I am not hopeful today. If this is only the Amex presale, imagine what it's going to be like next Monday.

Who just up and invites a third person like this? Shouldn't the onus be on the best friends who invited the third to then obtain the ticket for the third?
Sorry, nothing to do with the queue, I was just struck by this part of your dilemma.

Well, they added him into their lives and their family is now three. If they just added him to the invitation for the show, you'd be exactly right.

After a little over 90 minutes I got in. Requested 2 tickets for my date, nothing available. Requested one and got a premium ticket. Requested one again and got one next to it.
So I now have two great (and expensive - but less than resale) tickets.

got in at 53 minutes. surprised there were both singles and pairs for the june-aug shows in center orch row C for $186. row d right behind selling for $500+. So worth the wait.
They were only selling orch and premium orch, not loge or mezz so there should be some good availability at the general onsale next monday....
the member/subscriber pre sale were only open for tix through may
anyone wanting to get tix now are much more likely to get best availability for the June-Aug 5 shows....
happy hunting!

My queue number was randomized at 51,695. Seriously? Been waiting 2 hours, 52 minutes and am figuring that it is taking about an hour for 8,000 so I might get a chance at about 6:00 PM Pacific time. My friend and I went to the website at about the same time, and she was given 33,759.
What will be left in 5+ hours?!?

I am further out in the queue than some of you are. If many buy multiple tickets up to the 6 max allowed, there won't be enough presale tickets to sell.

My queue page says there are only a limited amount of Amex presale seats left and that there may be nothing left when it is my turn. Ya think?! Trying to take my kids but seems like flying to LA or NYC will be easier than this virtual line.

The queue waiting bar went all the way to the end and then the server crashed. My friend got an email saying it had ended and that her place in line was cancelled. I didn't even get an email. I suppose it is generating 90,000 emails or something like that.

Wow, I'm so proud of my mom after hearing how bad it was! She got tickets since i was at work, and by 10:24 she sent a text that she got them. (!!!!) Considering how nervous she was because she doesn't know how to get tickets online, she did good!
eta: oh dang, 10:24 was when she forwarded the confirmation to me, the text when she said she got em was at 10:15. Dang, she must have had the most perfect timing ever when she loaded the page at 10
