What an ugly and cheap looking marquee.

Shame I have to clean the kitchen and walk the dog during each of those 32 performances.

I'm sure it'll sell out the Hirschfeld. If all the people who are planning to see it over the course of its run go on one day.

It's going to sell worse than the Hair tour...and Hair is a fun and entertaining show...

What was the reason for this coming back even if for just 32 performances?

I'm not sure about other stops along the tour, but when FELA! was in Houston, it had a 7 show run at Jones Hall (which seats 290The return of 'FELA!' Marquee is up! and it sold out every performance! So, it may sell well in NYC too. The cast is fantastic, and is a mic of OBC and OLC, with Shah Ngauja reprising his role as Fela Kuti, which he did originate in both the off-Broadway and Broadway runs of the show.

It may be doing well on tour, I don't know, but it's not like it was in NYC that long ago...it was here in 2010 and I would imagine that people who didn't go see it 2 years ago are not going to be rushing to see it now.

Well, on the plus side, the Hirschfeld will be saving a fortune in electricity with the small number of bulbs needed to spell "Fela!" (at least compared with the days they had to spell "Larroquette" in bulbs!)
