I thought she sounded great (in a "look-at-me-I-can-belt" kinda way) but didn't really do much in the acting department. Judging from bits of one song of course. I hate the costume with a passion. The tail looks beyond absurd and fake and dead.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
Her belt is beautiful, but I'm trying to decide if I like that part belted! It kinda threw me. I guess belting is good for a theatre, but in the movie it ain't belted (sounds more mixed) and I dunno, it's an interesting choice. Still gorgeous girl, gorgeous voice!
I think she's quite good, but I'm not fond of the costume.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Ray, go see the show and watch her act "Beyond My Wildest Dreams." She is an amazing actress in addition to singing the hell out of those songs. I think you're going to be very pleasantly surprised.
If the audience could do better, they'd be up here on stage and I'd be out there watching them. - Ethel Merman
maybe it's been answered before, but do you think they'll ever offer SRO for this show? because if i remember correctly, beauty & the beast (at that same theatre) offered it for sold out shows.
Wow! Great clip! A gorgeous girl with a voice to match! I hope I can catch TLM sometime next summer, depending on family vacation plans. But I'll definitely be picking up the cast recording.
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott
wow! i love this! i actually think everything about this show is new and creative. It's very operatic almost (the way it is designed and directed) and I think it looks beautiful. Great voice! Very exciting
