Yeah, I didn't realize History Boys was in the "miss" pile too. It's all subjective. Maybe Tarzan is fun to look at?

I saw "History Boys" in London and here and it has only gotten better. It's one of the smartest, funniest, and most touching plays in my long memory.

To be fair, "Faith Healer" is tough going. Imagine! A play you really have to concentrate on and think about. I wouldn't mind seeing it again. The best acting on Broadway.

"Tarzan," on the other hand, is dopey and thin, despite the fun sets. Good musicals need good songs and there is only one in this one.

I read the article, and I did agree about Mark Ruffalo's performance in Awake and Sing. I was actually quite surprised he got such good notices, and suprised by his nomination. I actually thought he was playing it on a whole different level than the rest of the cast, and he was distracting.

Very suprised he put History Boys there. But it is all subjective.

PLEASE, no one, waste your hard-earned money on the plodding, boring junk that is The Threepenny Opera. Definitely should be in the "miss" list, IMO.

So glad Threepenny made it on the list.

Awake an Sing, History Boys, and Tasrzan all seem wierd choices for where they are, though.

Richard Zoglin, the Time critic, is the Mayor of Backwardsville. Pay it no heed.

It really is a bizarre list. I can kind of see (despite the fact that I adore it) finding History Boys a bit overrated/overhyped, but I don't see how you could ever really put it on your miss list. Even if this guy didn't see what the big to do was, it's undoubtedly the show to see this season. How someone can say skip History Boys, but be sure to catch Tarzan is beyond me!!

This is his opinion, of course, but what I don't understand is the comment "the dismayingly rotund Richard Griffiths". What does a person's size have to do with his performance? That is just an idiotic statement that makes the rest of what he says hard to take seriously.

The History Boys, Faith Healer, and Awake and Sing! got some of the best reviews this season, while Threepenny Opera, Tarzan, and Festen got some of the worst. This guy has got to be kidding me.

Interesting. He didn't really like Tarzan that much, just said the sets and direction were amazing, thereofore its a surefire hit. Weird!
