Says the show is still going on today with him!?!?
How hard do you think it is to post bail? Or are you referring to something else?;

I'm referring to him putting his hands down the pants of a fellow cast member, and then expecting the cast to still perform with him.

Sorry, my apologies....my local news, here in MA didn't mention that at all!
Well, he's 65. At least he can get retirement now that his career is over.
I've heard that he's an absolute disaster to work with.
In all fairness, we haven't heard his side of the story yet.

Yeah, maybe he was trying to help get a tarantula out of the woman's pants, and maybe he was holding the cocaine for a friend.
There's always a "he said/she said" sort of issue with these things if it happened without other people around, although if a girl says a sexual act was non-consensual, the appropriate thing to do is to believe her until you have a reason not to. If he was arrested, there may have been sufficient evidence, although I'm guessing what actually got him arrested was the cocaine. I've seen enough SUV episodes to have a feeling that you can't arrest a guy based merely on an accusation.
That said, did anyone really want to see a 65 year-old Julian Marsh kissing a 25 year-old Peggy Sawyer onstage anyway?

His side of the story as in, yeah I groped her, and then bought some cocaine because I knew my career was over.

Yeah, cocaine and sexual assault have ruined a lot of careers, like... umm, wait let me think... err...
I would have thought that you can arrest someone on an accusation, but not necessarily convict them based merely on that. But I don't claim to be any kind of expert on this.

The cocaine admitted it was his.
What a creep.
However, Baritone, isn't the POINT of the end of 42nd Street that Peggy decides to further her career by becoming a sugar baby, and it doesn't judge her for it at all?

This isn't a funny situation but that comment made me laugh out loud. Well done Hater!

Exactly!!
But Reagle's audience is largely subscription senior citizens. It plays at Waltham High School and Reagle knows the WPD. As far as the cast member whom he assaulted, they''ll throw her under the bus until she sues them (which she should, since I bet she's one of the actors who work free) They NEED Wopat to fill those seats.
Maybe I should hold back- I don't know the producers are. I could be wrong. I have friends in the pit and on stage; I'll keep ya'll posted. As far as the coke, if I were spending a hot summer in Waltham I'd need to be wasted too, but SEXUAL ASSAULT IS NOT OKAY.
Damn, another Pierre down for the count. Dust and ashes.

Probably arrested for that, if he admitted to it. As for the groping, we don't know for sure - innocent until proven guilty. There have been many men accused of sexual assault and maintained their innocence - and found innocent as well.

According to a Waltham police report, Wopat allegedly assaulted the woman during a rehearsal at the high school on July 23. The accuser said he came up behind her and grabbed her buttocks and continued touching her in that area.
The show’s producer and manager had previously spoken to Wopat regarding complaints from other female cast members about inappropriate comments and touching, the report said. The artistic director told police he had spoken with Wopat three times, and the actor was also reprimanded for being intoxicated at rehearsal, authorities said.

How coincidental that this 42nd Street opening be overshadowed, as the OBP'S was when Gower Champion died the afternoon of the opening night and David Merrick informed the audience and the cast of his death with a dramatic curtain call announcement.
