To be fair, there is technically no way LuPone won't win. It would be a huge slap in the face. She's already way high up there for anyone else to win, deserving or not.

If I am right then why would you say you really want the show to be good?
If I were you I would give it a rest. It doesn't have any affect on Pattis Tony chances. When you chose to pull the one negative line from a post at ATC that says Harveys scenes take away from the show and phrase it in a way that makes it sound like he ruins the show, it does nothing but help you convince yourself that the show isn't good.

Is that really the best you could come up with?

Play nice you two, or the Tony will be Sierras.

With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-
"Not Barker, Todd is the only person I've ever known who could imitate Katherine Hepburn...in print." -nmartin-

I disagree with ALOT of that. Some of it is good though. I like the idea Lin Manuel winning Best Actor. But I'm pretty sure that In the Heights will take the Best Musical award and Patti LuPone will get the Tony that she so deserves for Gypsy.

Wouldn't that be awesome? The Tony goes to Sierra!

That would be beautiful.
And, Ljay is still trying to come up with a petter response. Keep at it buddy! I know you have it in you somewhere.

I think Evans should take the Best Actor Tony, and Miranda should walk away happy with Best Score (although I don't really think it is the best score).
Mary Testa had damn well better get a nomination for Xanadu!
And you're predicting that Best Costumes goes to "In the Heights," but not even predicting an award for the stunning costumes in "South Pacific"? Wrong.

I really think the XANADU producers should petition Testa and Hoffman as one. That would be fabulous.

Omg, yes. They should add a Side Show gag to the show, and then petition with an internet video distributed to all the right websites.

That's a great site, and I agree with most of what you have there, but please note that as Gypsy and South Pacific both use the same orchestrations used in their original productions, neither of them are eligible.
A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

She looks like a Tony Winner right there. LuPone better watch out!
Conjunction Junction, how's that function?

I think South Pacific should be on the list for Sound Design. I haven't seen the show yet, but from what I hear (haha) the sound plot is gorgeous. I've heard that the 30-piece orchestra sounds beautiful and the actors sound as if they're singing without microphones. Seems like a very intelligent and acoustic design. That'll surely win over the voters.

ljay889 - the advanced ticket sales are pretty fantastic for "ACA". while there is pretty negative stuff going around, the general buzz can't really be that negative if their ticket sales are doing really well. the morale for that show is high right now.. Producers say the show is doing better than expected.
MrMusic - SOUTH PACIFIC ? oh I thought the sound was pretty terrible. could barely hear anyone. it was terrible. maybe it was just the night I was there...?

MY favorite part is the assumption/i> that people in shows not even running yet are going to warrant nominations over people in shows running who are fantastic.

Surely Robin DeJesus and Olga Merediz will both get featured nominations for In The Heights.
Rufus Sewell won an Olivier Award for Rock n' Roll; I'll be surprised if he is left off the list of nominees. (I would hope for Ian McShane, The Homecoming; not sure if it will happen, though).
A few of the featured nominees on your list are leads; not sure what the tony committee will decide, though.
I love Xanandu, and hope it does as well as it should; not sure if it can get past the negativity around the original source material?? (To be honest, of original musicals, I'd nominate it the MOST! 12 nominations if it were up to me).
Patti LuPone? She is an absolute lock on the lead actress tony this year.
