FYI, all partial-view seats (orchestra, mezzanine, box) have been reduced to $40 for all performances through 5/20.

Thanks for posting the insert! I was wondering what it says. Mine didn’t come with one on Sunday ![]()

I really don't see him coming back permanently to the show. It's so interesting they are letting him do this. They aren't listing his performance schedule for June on Telecharge. They really should for people who want to see him.

I saw this tonight with Tony in it. I thought it was ok. There were some songs that I really enjoyed but overall a lot of the show just did nothing for me. They loved using shadows in this show, I think they almost overdid it with the shadow effects.
I still have to see Mean Girls but SpongeBob is still my favorite to win best musical and I never would have guessed I'd say that before the season started lol

I agree. Anyone could do his part, he was definitely the weakest part of the whole show. He has one song, that is less than a minute, and he spends most of his time silent or stuttering over what to say. Not a huge loss. Go for the gorgeous music, instruments, and the rest of the cast.

He's doing it now to hopefully get Tony votes. There was a statement if his appearances, you'll need to do a search. Maybe weekends thru June? Don't remember.

It's a whole lot harder to act in a restrained manner than aggressive or shouty. I have seen Tony's understudy James Rana, Dariush Kashani and Tony. Tony is by far the most effective and believable Tewfik. I think that speaks to his skill as an actor.

Loved this show and loved Tony in it. Such a masterful, beautifully nuanced performance. I think Ethan Slater will likely get the Tony but I'm personally rooting for Tony.

Call Telecharge, 212 239-6210. If there's a June schedule, they'll have it.

Ended up having the night unexpectedly free and grabbed some last minute row AA tickets off stubhub for half face. Was amazing so close. What a wonderful show

I’m in the exact same row next week. How was the stage height? Being approx. 5’10” tall I don’t it’ll be an issue. I’m five seats in from the House-right aisle.
Any what kind of souvenirs did they have? I’ve already bought my window card from Triton Gallery. Anything else interesting? Did they have a souvenir show program book? Thanks for any help!

Yes, they had a program book. And all the standard fare: several t-shirts, key chain, mug, pins jwewlry and 3 or 4 hats.

As I had mentioned before, I’ll be there May 30th for the 2pm matinee and would have LOVED to have been able to experience Tony Shalhoub in “The Band’s Visit” for my first EVER Broadway show. I guess I’ll never know what I’m missing. ![]()

Telecharge’s message about Shalhoub on their site says “he’s leaving” the show to film, but will play select performances in May. That sounds more final (and sadly for me seeing it in June, possibly more realistic) than the press releases that called this a “hiatus”. A hiatus leaves room for him to return and even implies he will, but my guess is Telecharge is still working off the assumption he won’t. If they did have a schedule I think they’d have posted by now, no?
Im still hoping he’s there when I am on June 12th - maybe he’ll do the first show after the Tonys if nothing else (assuming the show wins at least)!!
