Why? Do you only foresee 2-3 nominees or do you think Margaritaville is going to take his nomination?

I have no insight into his specific contract, but typically, if you sign a contract for a year, knowing you will be gone for a few months in the middle, you're usually still owe however many months get you to that year. Again, he may have negotiated his contract differently, but that is what typically occurs in cases where people leave one show to do something else.
I agree but I have never heard of someone coming back for "select performances" which are not specified. I have never seen that announcement on Telecharge or Tickemaster.

I'm confident Tony Shalhoub will get a nomination. One of the best performances of the season, though I'm very biased because I've been a fan of this show since it's premiere.
I loved Shalhoub's Tewfiq. Dariush Kashani's Tewfiq is very different from Shaloub's but just as good. I would love to see Sasson Gabai in this show as well. He was terrific in the movie.
Where are your parents? Isn't it getting close to bedtime?

Now that Shalhoub has been nominated, when do you suppose his new schedule will be announced? Are they going to keep it quiet? Is it actually happening?

Thanks for bumping this, I haven't seen the show yet but would definitely like to see him as well now
He was on the Today show performance today. Wonder if he'll be in the show this week.

They said they would be publishing a schedule to indicate which performances he will be doing.
Why haven't they announced the select dates? It seems odd that they don't announce the schedule...

"Shalhoub is appearing as Tewfiq during select performances throughout May, with no set schedule, while Dariush Kashani, the actor who took over for Shalhoub, continues performing the role at most performances"

I asked Telecharge, and they told me yesterday that Tony will be performing every Saturday evening and Sunday matinee performance in May, and he will also perform during the evening shows on May 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th.

Thank you!

Yes, thanks for this! Just called Telecharge to confirm, and picked up a ticket for 5/26.
FYI, orchestra seats BB 5 and BB 6 are sold as partial view for $80, but appear to be great, since they're within the edge of the stage.

Anyone know about June? I’m going June 13th, evening show
Updated On: 5/8/18 at 10:58 AMI happened to have tickets for May 18. Good to know! Although, I would not have been disappointed if I saw his replacement, whom I hear is quite good as well.

I’m curious as well. I bought tickets for June 12 (first performance after the Tonys) with the assumption that the show would win Best Musical and that the entire cast, including Shalhoub, was more likely to show up for that as a kind of “celebration”. That might be naive but I’m hoping. I can only see it once so I would like to see him if possible. If not, so it goes.
I'm seeing it tonight, and while I'll be bummed to miss Tony, I've heard great things about the other guy. But honestly, I'm really just wanting to see Katrina Lenk. (PS If you didn't see her on The Good Fight this week, she's hilarious!)

the lack of transparency about exact dates is incredibly annoying

This was my experience, as well. The Telecharge agent read off every date and time.

Just clarifying, sorry if I’m dense - did anyone ask telecharge about June? Still trying to figure out if he’s potentially back in June or the list of dates are his final performances.
