It's approaching!!

I was just wondering if the 'Dress Rehearsal' will be streamed onto the website because I watched it there last year... anyone know?

I'm debating internally whether to lose sleep for this. But if I do, after the trauma you guys described last year, I'll probably just read the posts on here and toggle between whatever else I can find on the net.

I'm not! Haha. Have college at 9am on Monday. Bleh, will check the results soon as I wake up.

Just to clarify, this is how I understand what is happening.

The Tony's is this Saturday 6:30pm ET, so will be happening here 1:30am on Sunday morning?

It is not being shown on TV here?

Is it going to be streamed on the internet?

What time do the proper awards begin please?

im still on study leave...so i dont anything to get up for on Monday :) someone better join me in staying up!?

The red carpet and first set of technical awards (the non-televised ones) are streamed live through TonyAwards.com. As for the televised main event, no such luck for us in the UK. They don't even televise the Oliviers, why would we get the Tonys? In previous years, I've had a limited amount of success with a program called TVU Player that webstreams TV channels from far-off lands, but last year it was rubbish. I tried sticking with it, gave up, tried watching some post-award interviews (y'know... they read the name, they give the award, the winner does a speech, the winner goes offstage, then TonyAwards.com grabs the winner and makes them talk into the webcam; that's the bit that gets streamed), but it got annoying so I went to bed.

I'll certainly be up for the technical awards, anyway, whether I get enough sleep this weekend or not. The main event? Depends on sleep, and TVU Player.

Finally, I'm not revising over the Tonys, I may stay up and watch it/get frustrated with not being able to watch it.

I think I am going to emigrate to Australia, sounds good have The Tony's over the papers and orange juice, however it is winter there now, so cannot sit out on the terrace.

I am still a bit confused if The Tony's are going to be happening Sunday morning or Monday morning over here?

The pre-broadcast internet stream starts at 11.30pm, but main broadcast on CBS starts at 8 Eastern/7 Central so that's 1am.

I don't think that is right. They are not Saturday at all but SUNDAY 7th June 2009.

In the UK they are happening (with the time difference) at 12.30am on Monday 8th June 2009 approx.

New York time 6.30pm approx, which I think you refer to as Eastern time.

The Tony's Website countdown clock states that there is still 1 day and 1 hour to go. So that gives a time differnece of 25 hours from now and the UK time is Saturday 11.25pm at the time of writing this message.

Is any of this making sense? Clarify? Maybe not! But Saturday is certainly not a day for the Tony's.

Ok .. just to clarify.. the show starts at 12.30 am.. British Time?
