it is completely fine for you to use a tote bag. If you've been to the city.. you'll notice most men are carrying bags nowadays.. and no one is gonna look closely enough at you to judge you for it honestly, everyone moves at their own pace here.
My question is how durable are the tote bags? I have the Billy Elliot tote and kinda freaked it will break if I put my laptop in it.

I completely agree
""Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss
If you are buying the tote bag to use and because you like it, go for it. If people are going to judge you for buying it, so be it. They can think whatever they want. You are your own unique person. And as long as you are buying for yourself, don't worry what others care. If they are going to make fun of you for having/carrying it, they aren't somebody you probably want to hang out with anyway.
I carry around my tote bag to rehearsals and everything its ust easier for me its not for everyone but I'm gay pull it off well! Haha
If it's your own personal style and decision to buy a bag that's being sold to hundreds of other people with a logo on it that's plastered all over the city than that just makes you a very unique individual.
Sorry. But, honestly, I carry tote bags, messenger bags, even purses that are technically designed for women, and I never get a second glance walking down 7th Ave. It's New York City, for christ's sake!
Taylor, I don't know about the Billy Elliot totes specifically, but I carry my laptop around in my BC/EFA tote and it's fine.
In this day and age of going green. carrying a tote bag is becoming more and more a necessity rather then a gender defining accessory (WTF is that anyway? I carry a tote bag so I must like to suck a d? Insane)
Are you walking around NYC with it? I'm pretty sure you can do or wear anything and no one in NY will think anything of it.
