Trip with Girlfriend

i am going to NYC from the 22-31st of October I have booked Cursed Child , My Fair Lady, Once on This Island and Band's Visit. Is Columbus Circle a good location to stay in . I am 56 years old.

I am looking at Frozen, Head over Heels, Moulin Rouge is there anything else worth seeing. I believe Moulin Rouge will not even be playing?

I live in Auckland I am going to NYC in 2 years time again.

Columbus Circle is all the way up at the southwest corner of Central Park (59th Street), so if your question is about proximity to Broadway theaters, you could do better. Most of the theaters are concentrated in the area from 44th Street up to 52nd Street, with just a few more scattered above there.

Summer has horrible word-of-mouth. Not sure it’s recommendable at this point.

I wish this show well. I hope to see it in June. But just because a show is selling tickets for 8 months from now doesn’t mean it will still be playing by then.

The Great Comet was selling tickets through early 2018 when they screeched to a close at the beginning of September 2017. The fact tickets are being sold isn't necessarily an indicator of the health of a show, sadly.

Adding on to say that I have always found cabs reasonable in NYC so if the hotel is cheaper a bit further uptown, you may still end up saving money. Personally, I prefer being just a little bit away from Times Square, but I've also been to NYC many times. If it's a rare occasion, I'd definitely say to splurge a little and stay closer to the action!

Also echo seeing Hello, Dolly! I don't know who will be in the lead role by the time you visit, but this production really feels like a can't-miss. Like others have said, Once on This Island is also really good and if it's playing it should definitely stay on your list. Come From Away would also be a great pick and it seems likely to be going strong in the fall still, and it's not a show that needs "names" to be enjoyable (though Jenn Colella is a delight!).
