With rumors that both OTT and H.I.V. ending, does this mean TUCK will be able to find a theater for the spring?
What would be the incentive for them wanting to rush in to this incredibly crowded season?
Also, would require them to part ways with Carolee, as she's in FINDING NEVERLAND.
Not to mention Casey Nicholaw is already busy with Something Rotten in the spring so i doubt it will come in this season, but who knows in this business. I haven't heard any rumors, but i thought On The Town was holding off until award seasons to see if things pick up?

I agree. Probably won't happen soon, but I am looking forward to the show as a whole.

I saw the show last week at the Alliance, and it is solid but needs work. I thought parts were dull and it was slow to build. However, Carmello and Keenan-Bolger were amazing, and the ending (Everlasting Ballet) was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen on stage.
Just because things are closing doesn't mean you should cut corners and put a show on that probably isn't ready yet. Looking forward to this whenever it comes to NY!

This is getting great reviews including NYT so I imagine this is going to Broadway.
Tourists will say what the hell is a Tuck Everlasting
A new title would be a big help.

You mean the classic children's book that was also adapted into a film twice, once by Disney within the past 15 years?
Yeah, people are sure going to be confused there...
Although, Tuck Everlasting is the name of the book, and it's a book that's in many, many middle school curriculums in the U.S. So if we're talking about tourists from within the U.S., a lot of families with kids will know the name that way.
Never heard of book or movies
Still think a name change would help. Yes yes No no.

Someone hasn't left the house in 40 years.
I wouldn't say the Times review screams transfer!

The notion of changing the name of Tuck Everlastng is laughable. The story is a children's classic and one of the most recognizable names in children's literature of the past 40 years. It's a staple in upper elementary and middle school curriculums. The name alone would be a huge attraction for families looking for a show. It's just as well known as Matilda.

Could someone be so generous in posting a song list? Thanks!
Here's a tiny song snippet from a couple years ago when Tuck was supposed to open in Boston (sob). I have the URL set up to go right to the song snippet but it's part of a longer interview that includes author Natalie Babbitt. This is Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Sadie Sink (she was playing Winnie back then, though not any more).

At the end of that clip someone sings "Is it everlasting". It sounds like Idina. Did she record a demo of some kind?

Still surprised they cast such a young Winnie. From my memory of the both the book and the film, Winnie is supposed to be a teenager, and she hooks up with one of the brothers, too. Maybe my memory is foggy...
Nah, book Winnie is about 10 and doesn't hook up with anyone. (I have no idea about movie Winnie.)
Hmm, okay. I read the book when I was young, so I don't remember exactly. I think it was the movie version where they made her older than. Anyway. Excited for the musical!
