And then he's leaving again when CATCH ME opens on Broadway, I'm assuming.

I'm curious about dates as well. I'm going May 31, and I would really like to know whether to expect to see him or not. Thinking probably not though.

My guess is that he'll stick around until the Tony Awards and then leave shortly after.

Hell, I didn't care much for the musical at all (sorry, I'm still bowled over by the reviews) but I would see his *sigh* inducing performance again.
...Oh yeah! And Ripley is pretty good too!

Anyone think Tveit's leaving so early could affect his chances of getting the Tony, if he's nominated?

No. He's an unlikely winner.
He's not leaving forever. He'll be back in the this fall.

I know May 31 is not June but I felt that it was close enough to the period where he would need to leave that it was worth asking.

Anyone else think Kyle Riabko would be a great for Aaron's replacement?

No.
I've heard he's gotten much better on tour, but I really disliked him in SA. (nice guy, though) Besides, he just filmed a pilot...don't think he's looking to do anything else.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

I think that Matt Doyle would be a good choice.

Wow, I was also thinking that Matt Doyle would be an excellent Gabe. But there's been rumors that he's attached to Bye Bye Birdie... oh well. I'd still love to see him in the role.
I think that Aaron Tveit was spectacular. He gave a great performance and has such an incredible voice. Plus just his stage presence and the way he moves his body is amazing. Love him. He's gonna be a big star.

I definitely agree about Matt Doyle, he would be a fantastic Gabe. Even if he is going to be in Bye Bye Birdie, I hope he plays the role someday.

If that's correct, will his final performance be the one before the Tonys (the 6th) or the one following the Tonys (the 9th)?

There is no show the day of the Tonys.

Skylar Astin (who did the final workshop as Henry) would be a fantastic replacement for Tveit.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Skylar Astin seems like he would be a good Henry btw!

I think he said June 6th or 7th when my friend asked him... I could be off though.

I'd go Doyle over Riabko in a heartbeat...though I guess Kyle and Aaron do look a bit alike.

Skylar's got a pilot and living in LA now, so it's not going to be him.
