I've heard a lot of talk of both Crazy For You and the London production of 42nd Street coming back to Broadway this season. Is it wise to have two shows happening at the same time that are so similar and likely will get mixed up by people? I know they aren't exactly the same but I'm often having to double check what song is in what show or the names of the characters.

Eh, they're dissimilar enough there shouldn't be too great of a confusion. People don't confuse Anastasia and Frozen.
That being said, anyone remember when An Act of God was the same season as Hand to God? Now THAT was confusing lol
The Band's Visit/TheBoys in the Band/Getting the Band Back Together
I don't think 42nd Street is coming to Broadway, but I could be wrong. I think Crazy for You is much more likely.

EXCUSE ME????!!!???? You can't remember which song is from which show????? All of the songs from one show are by the Gershwins and the other show has most songs by Warren & Dublin. How can you get those confused??????
Gershwin done rolled over in his grave.
Al Dubin is probably rolling over in his grave wondering how he became the capital of Ireland. ![]()

You'll find no bigger fan of Gershwin music than right here. I'm just trying to say that on occasion they blend in a little bit in my head. I know who wrote the music to both shows.
Some days I'll hear a song from one of them and I just have to ask myself "which one is it?" As soon as I check it seems obvious and I wonder why I wasn't sure of myself before. Some memories fade over time sadly

Or On the Town and On the Twentieth Century playing next door to each other? I wonder how many people accidentally wandered into the wrong theatre.
This reminds me of when the Rupert Everett production of "The Judas Kiss" played Toronto for seven weeks before, during, and after Easter...there was a confusion, and people thought nit was a biblical story about Easter, so i remember them giving refunds after church groups found out it was not about Jesus at all.
Isn't the London production of 42nd Street the same as the production that played the Ford/Hilton/Foxwoods/Lyric Theatre here from 2001-2005?

A friend of mine came up with "Gettin' the Boys in the Band's Visit Back Together"
I have heard from exactly no one and have the following information based on no facts or inside information or voices in my head:
Lippa's The Wild Party and Lachiusa's The Wild Party will be performed in repertory next season.
I've posted this more than once but back in the 1980s I was in line at the Times Square TKTS booth and the woman in front of me asked for Barefoot in the Park with George.

Is it the one Madonna sings in that movie about the wrestler?
I know two people who have confused Once on This Island with Escape to Margaritaville...

Oh dear I hope Crazy For You comes and not 42nd Street. The dancing in the London production is great but that show has not aged well.
