One more to add to the list.
I actually don't know a single thing about this show.

I do not see any way that this show is going to make it. They better have some great advertising or hope for some major showing at the Tony's for them to survive. The public doesn't know anything about this.
Also, is it me or are they coming up with a musical for singers now. With the success of Jersey Boys, I guess people think a show can match them and stay afloat, sadly I don't see this or Million Dollar Quartet doing well, IMO.

Just because YOU don't know anything about it doesn't mean that "the public" doesn't. The pre-Broadway production was very positively reviewed by Isherwood in the NY Times.
This isn't "a musical for singers," either. It's a dance piece, like MOVIN' OUT, constructed around dancers. Frank Sinatra's recordings will be used, but there will be a singer who sings along, with band.

It's a weak year for new musicals too. Her timing is great.
I'm assuming that this will be considered a new musical based on Contact and Movin' Out.

Or they could just stand outside the theatre and say "Frank Sinatra" and people will go in.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

A live band/singer singing with a track? That sounds awful. But I really liked "Movin Out," so I'm sure she knows what she's doing.

This sounds like something I will hate. That being said, I'm sure audiences will eat it up and I predict Best Musical. If CONTACT can win over THE WILD PARTY, this will have no problem beating TAF and whatever else, even if it is terrible.
Tharp-ography to pre-existing tracks with no set? Pass.

I'm looking forward to this, particulary because of John Selya's involvement. Speaking of whom, is it just me or does he look like he's gained a lot of weight? I'm assuming it's the costume, but he definitely looks a lot heavier than I've ever seen him; in his last show, Guys and Dolls, he looked fine. Hopefully, it's just the costume. He is one FABULOUS dancer -- and I avoid using that word unless I feel it's absolutely warranted. Fabulous, I mean.

Hope this will work out better than that Bob Dylan mess.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Saw the show in ATL. Been waiting to hear the news of when I can make a trip to NYC just to see it again on broadway! The dancers that did the number 'That's Life' was the hit of the night. It was all dancing no singing except for one female voice singing with Franks voice and with a live band. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

I would never ever pay to see a Broadway show where I listened to a recording of a long dead artist. Bogus.

^^^ But you pay a church every week to be in the "presence" of a long dead Jewish hippie?
Now THAT is bogus!! xoxoxo
