Since Gavin Creel now has his very own thread, I thought I'd start one for Will Swenson. I couldn't believe his energy level on the Conan show, even though I was equally amazed when I saw Hair in the theatre. How does this man do it? 8 times a week, all those special events and he still has time to be an awesome father. He must have been born under a very special star.
Yeah, I'm jumping on the Will Swenson love train. He's the one who actually drew me to the show in the first place after watching the Tony's - that and my mom begging to see it. (And she too is on the WSLT LOL)

The man is TO DIE FOR <3 My mom and I where standing at the stage door going "can we just stare at him all day? He is puuuuuuurtiful *le sigh*"
And he is also BRILLIANT in the show :) I can't imagine anyone else doing Berger!
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
I've never spoken to him but I imagine he would really have so many interesting things to talk about. I'm not taking away from the idea that he's my idea of gorgeous, but he comes across as so real that I'd be at a loss for words -- something that I'm rarely accused of.
He also comes across as really SMART, which is, for me, one of the reasons I find myself drawn to a performer, since it often reads in performance. From the first time I saw Hair in the park, I couldn't take my eyes off him.
I am in total support of this thread! Will was one of the main reasons why I wanted to see Hair ASAP. He has so much energy and he is really fun to watch. Will just seems like such a cool guy. The type of person that you could just chill with and he would make you laugh regardless of what you were doing.
Yeah, he does come off very smart. Definitely the type I'd find fascinating to sit down and have a long, intelligent conversation with.
I think what I love about the way he plays Berger is that he's both chill/low key AND spastic/full of life. I don't even really know how exactly he achieves such a balance of the two, but it works perfectly! And he's just got such presence- it's nearly impossible to take your eyes off of him! I mean of course part of that is because he is gorgeous, but it's also that he's got a real, amazing presence about him.
And I think it would be entirely remiss not to mention that HAIR. Lord, that is one of the most lush, awesome heads of hair I've ever seen. It makes me want to run my hands through it :P

My bff did during the "Let the Sunshine In" on stage sing along/dance party. He was standing right in front of us and she just started playing with his hair. He turned around a little surprised and then just winked at her. Awesome. I, on the other hand, was too chicken.

I definitely agree with the smart comment. I remember when Sam Champion was interviewing Gavin and Will at GMA, and, having too of the hottest, most talented men on Broadway in front of him, he asked them about Michael Jackson. You could tell both of them were a bit taken aback, but Will totally pulled out an amazing answer, that besides talking about MJ, mentioned Hair.
And he so got robbed for the Tony. Will is such a huge presence. His improv is amazing. The night I sure the show, when he was running up to the stage during Electric Blues, this one woman was trying to hurry back to her seat, late from intermission. He jumps in front of her, and goes down the whole aisle to sit in her chair. Then, he climbed over everyone to get to the stage. I was rolling.
Sadly I didn't touch his magnificent hair, but when I danced on stage I stoked the fringe on his vest very surreptitiously, and then went over an gave him a hug. He is just the MAN.
Oh and as far as catchy thread titles, I'm a fan of "I'd "Go Down" on Will Swenson."
Because I look different you think I'm subversive.
Because I'm really, really bored at work and I totally need to wake up, I'm gonna go the superficial route. How about we get some of teh pretty in here?

HOMG. Beautiful. The one in his dressing room reminded me of that Broadway Impact video Gavin Creel made (episode 6 I believe). Will's part is the best. EPISODE 6
