Is the cancellation a sure thing? I was so hoping to see this! I love Lauren Kennedy,
Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol. Can anyone confirm this?
Until you see a press release/article no one can actually CONFIRM it. And no matter how many folks say one wway or another it's still a rumor until it's official.
Word on the street is that there are investor issues involved.
I sure hope not! I can't wait for this show!
Poor Lauren Kennedy. If this is true, this is her second show in a row that didn't make it to Broadway.

Lone Star Love last Season
If it is true, I wonder if the economy is a factor and the investors don't want to take a chance.

Oh. Well, Lone Star Love would have flopped anyways. Although, it is interesting to think, if that show had gone through, where Tale of Two Cities would have ended up playing.
Dont you guys think VANITIES might have flopped too? just wonderin'...

Lone Star Love was slated for the Belasco. Tale of Two Cities played the Hirschfeld.
if it is cancelled, i hope for some reason it gets reslated and goes off broadway, its perfect for off broadway

Ugh! Thanks Smaxie. I knew I was wrong. I could picture the marquee in my head, but couldn't place it. Either way, I really like the design for Lone Star Love.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.
I also wouldn't be surprised if The Story of My Life has "investor issues" soon too.
VANITIES will be playing at the Lyceum? or should have played at the Lyceum?
I have nothing against Vanities.. but i think it would have flopped either way ~just because of the economy..same with THE STORY OF LIFE (Ive heard the songs and was not impressed at all~I did not even bother to see it at Goodspeed~even with a free tickets!

Vanities would have lasted about three weeks, recession or no recession. No one wants to pay $111 to see a three character chamber musical.
News that new shows slated to come will get cancelled won't shock me. Sadly.
I agree with adamgreer!
well its either comps or TDF or student rush... $110.00 for 3 character chamber musical is wayyy to expensive at this economy!

I wouldn't be all too shocked if it fell through either. Though it would make me a bit sad because I planned my next trip up, and have already booked my airline ticket, to see VANITIES and STORY during their first previews (amongst other shows). (And I have to admit, I was/am hoping to do TDF for both.)
Not that I would ever wish someone to be out of work I kind of wouldnt mind the lyceum being vacant cuz im one of the people who has just enough hope that TOS might come back.
"Poor Lauren Kennedy. If this is true, this is her second show in a row that didn't make it to Broadway. "
Third! Don't forget about "THE TEN COMMANDMENTS," unless you honestly believe those producers had absolutely no sights on Broadway.
Either way, I have to admit $110 wouldnt be too great to pay for three-person musical, but I was interested in it none-the-less!
If [title of show] came back, it wouldn't be put back in that huge theatre.
[title of show] is not coming back. Period.
Can we all stop with that fantasy?
Whether that's true or not, the cast of the show seems to think otherwise.
I understand they want to bring it make for a month or two for Tony Voting time. They still would need a poop load of money to do that. Not likely, but time will tell.
