Curious to hear some thoughts. Almost every year there is one biggie. Who saw Kenny Leon's victory coming last year? Certainly none of the pundits.
It's hardly an upset if it's already a neck-and-neck race between them.
I would say an upset would be Steven Boyer over Alex Sharp.
Double post.

More of a Bold Prediction: Something Rotten will go home empty handed

It should be noted that every show that Casey Nicholaw has directed or choreographed and received a directing or choreography nomination for has won at least one award, and each one took home a featured acting award.
Something Rotten may break that streak.
^Gregg Barnes should win for it's costumes though.
I predict Kanye West will walk on stage while Helen Mirren is giving her acceptance speech and will demand she give the Tony to "my girl Beyonce... outta respect".
I would say that if we came to a consensus, it wouldn' t actually BE that much of an upset.

I know its close, but with American in Paris leading right now, Fun Home is a safe upset to assume. Same with Cerveris in the Fairchild/ Cerveris/ D'arcy James race going on right now.

Something Rotten winning best musical
I hope Tommy Tune taps his way up to the stage depending where he is seated he can slide across the stage. :)
Hand to god winning best play, which it should!
Not sure if it's an upset but I predict Fairchild...
-Fairchild, beating Cervais
-Something Rotten, beating Fun Home for Score and Book
-Christian Borle, beating Oscar and Karl for Best Featured Actor
-On the 20th Century, getting Best Set Design
I have a well-informed friend who is convinced that Rotten will win not only Musical but Book. I don't agree, but stranger things have happened.

The Visit will take home the 5 Tonys it has been nominated for!
Ugh, part of me doesn't want Something Rotten to win mostly because we already had a "funny" musical win last year.
Then again, I guess that's what "upset" means, lol.
