Crazy she is really good theatre actress who deserved better. BTW why isn't she doing more theatre?
The Voice isn't an acting competition. This is the UK one you're referring to, right?

but Leanne has an Olivier Award and she is a very good actress and singer why is she doing this in the first place.
Well, she should have sung "I have a freakin' Olivier". Maybe they would have turned then.
If you had provided a link, we could judge for ourselves. As it stands now, I don't care.

Yikes! That was not that great, sorry. She sounds like a Merman impersonator.

but she can sing maybe this was not her day
It is called The Voice not The Deserving
Why is she doing it? Obviously for the exposure that success on the show would bring.
I didn't think it was oawful, but it certainly wasn't anything spectaular. That's why none of the chairs moved.

This is a real topic
I read the headline, clicked and listened-never heard of her, just OK performance, agree with the judges, but then the comment about 'feeding a troll'.Doesn't everyone have a right to start and comment on here without instructions from another contributor?.If you don't like what is being written-read over it-not--you can answer this one-but not this one.Geeeze!
In Liza's eyes every new member is a troll.
'In Liza's eyes every new member is a troll.'
Quite apt here as Liza has become the troll. Have I just dissed a mod?

I've met Leanne before and she's a bloody great performer but this was not her finest performance. Both myself and the person I was watching it felt like she was trying far too hard with it and that it was probably the wrong song choice.
I'm only familiar with the voice UK but do theatre performers appear on the US version of the show? Have any been successful?
A few have, three or four, success has been varied. The one that got the furthest was Sasha Allen (Hair Revival). (If memory serves me right.)

I thought Frenchie Davis made it pretty far on the first season. I know she was an American Idol reject, but also a theatre performer.
I thought she sang it fine, but you could see they were really thinking about it. I think she may have come off a bit too "theatrical"? But not the right song choice, definitely.
Not the best from here, i think she did just star in Saucy Jacks and the Space Vixens in London but her career for sure has not taken off.
I remember quite a few members of th UK cast of Taboo going on The X Factor and not going though including the lead girl who play Kim, shame.

I do wish producers did think of non traditional casting rather then always go from skinny blonde girl. I honestly thought she was great in Hairspray and should be given roles. she could do grease.

Stevie give me five shows currently running that she could play a role in and there is your answer...
