I just notice that young con man from Odessa is behind all this, how can he get away with mounting an Off Broadway show? He must be the most charismatic and charming person in the universe.
You owe thousands to people from your hometown and your next play is called "Tricks the Devil Taught Me"? Hope he never runs for President, because he'd sure win.

Since you are employed by Tony Georges, why don't you ask him when he is going to run out of money? You have previously commented that this show was "bonded" and then you couldn't document that.
Tony Georges was arrested several time, has a trail of bad debts and five separate companies that have NEVER filed tax returns.
He has been trying to raise money the last few weeks and because a group of us have created websites about his background, nobody is going to give him any money.
Based on Tony Georges track record and the comments about the show Tricks The Devil Taught Me - you need a different Producer AND a different show.

Nobody has a "vendetta," we just know who Tony Georges is. It is amusing to see cast and crew members endorse their "friend." Many of the same people working on this show were part of the Odessa mess.
Tony Georges NEVER provided an accounting for the $1.3 million that he was given. His company never filed any tax-returns. Tony was arrested several times. He left many bill unpaid and has done the same for the last 5 years.
So, WHY are you so fond of this guy? Don't you realize you're next? Soon, the show will be closed - either because of a lack of funding, or current investigations. Because this show is in enough trouble, Tony Georges and Circa 1440, Inc., and Idle Mind, Ltd. and Maddy Bassi CAN"T RAISE ANY MONEY.
So, think about that as you publicly kiss Tony's ass.

snakeinmyboots is Travis Acremen a star-struck actor in Tricks The Devil Taught Me. He posted his affection for Tony Georges on his blog this morning:
http://travisacreman.blogspot.com/2011/07/jesus-alcohol-and-homosexuality.html
It's titled "Jesus, alcohol and Homosexuality."
This show will close before it opens. Travis and others associated with the troubled show need to ask Tony about his finances. He can't raise any more money, so they need to determine how much he has left. Now, before Minetta changes the locks.
Cast members adore their boss.

Posted: 8/2/11 at 2:18pmPoor Travis. They're making the actors fix the air conditioning in the theater? Is Mary Testa fixing the broken toilet in the ladies room?

"...the website dexter is talking about is clearly coming from someone with a vendetta. Who knows how much of that information is true...."
Granted, previews aren't intended to be subject to review. But snakeinmyboots, even a respected slake can't fault a theatre patron for expressing his opinion.
As for the Odessa incident, the information on that website is factual and (aside from a few personal heated remarks) it is all undisputed public record. I, too, was there to witness. On a personal note, I also had a chance closely to observe Mr. Georges in his theatrical element in Odessa for a few months before the Ector Theatricals scandals even began. Even at age 21, he was a natural charmer (especially of the vulnerable and wealthy), but his ethics were criminal and his duplicity is legend, even among his "friends".
For all those reasons, I find the title of his play absolutely apropos, as are the timely Biblical warnings of its website http://www.ttdtm.com/full.html :
"be not forgetful..." Hebrews 13:2
"be not deceived..." Galations 6:7

How come Tony Georges hasn't tried to quell the concerns about his finances and the quality of this show? Where is this guy? Still hiding?
I attended the reading of this piece of **** play - I am amazed that it is being produced. I would never let any of my clients risk their reputation by setting foot on stage at the Minetta.
If you doubt all the gathered information about Tony Georges, ask yourself why is he still hiding? He doesn't have a website. He just has his young actors post glowing comments about his creativity.
Something is very wrong here. Very, very wrong.

Where is Tony Georges? He can't raise any more money without being thrown in jail, so what's the deal? How much cash do you have? Another week?
Speak up. Be a man.
Is this Tony Georges guy for real?

These are my favorite batsh*t crazy threads now. This one and the other "re: Warning" thread.
I don't know which is worse, the show itself or the crazies coming out to freak on and on about it. Since it's not likely I will see this fine piece of art, I'll have to go with the threads for the win.
And it's so nice to have all these new socks around. Somebody needs to do laundry.

Posted: 8/3/11 at 9:30amJordan I saw this on comps too and it's still not worth it. It is really utter sh*t on stage with no redeeming qualities. I know all these bad reports are going to make some people flock to see how bad it really is (and I would normally be one of those people), but this is no Prymate. It is just painful.

"Backside Ollie 180"
I think I want to know what that is . . .
#43Warning: Tricks the Devil Taught Me
Posted: 8/3/11 at 12:02pmI was moderately sympathetic until the line "It makes fun of religion, divorce, alcohol abuse and promotes homosexuality." popped up on the tell-all website.
#44Warning: Tricks the Devil Taught Me
Posted: 8/3/11 at 12:13pmI'm confused about all this talk of homosexuality in the links. Unless I fell asleep/zoned out for a portion of the play I don't remember any talk of a gay character or any of the characters having gay sex. I don't know how it could "promote homosexuality" when it was neither mentioned nor alluded to.
#45Warning: Tricks the Devil Taught Me
Posted: 8/3/11 at 12:14pmI'm assuming that it's because in Odessa, Texas, homosexuals are used as a story to scare children.
#46Warning: Tricks the Devil Taught Me
Posted: 8/3/11 at 12:29pmWhy are all the photos of this guy blurrier and/or more distorted than bigfoot footage?
#47Warning: Tricks the Devil Taught Me
Posted: 8/3/11 at 12:55pmI got a cryptic text message the other day that simply said "STAY AWAY FROM MINETTA LANE," which I think would be a wonderful title for either a horror story or a staged reading of these threads.

#48Warning: Tricks the Devil Taught Me-A positive review
Posted: 8/3/11 at 6:45pmAll the anger?-my daughter and I sat through and enjoyed the first evenings performance. It was a true to life look at some hard lives lived in Texas-and could have been New York too. I have seen many challenging plays, have walked out and am still thinking of the themes presented here. Yes it was too long- but the performances were real and true to life. Yes sometimes life is miserable. Folks need to see this and think about it and leave all the other background noise behind.
