I think that it will be Patrick and Amber in supporting and whoever plays Eurydice and Orpheus as leading. Hades and Persephone are big, meaty roles for supporting and they should be locks for at least a nomination (and win depending on competition) in both of those. Likewise, Orpheus and Eurydice always struck me as fairly small 'leading' roles, comparatively, such as Pierre in Great Comet as opposed to an Elle Woods or Evan Hansen who has to carry the show.
Right now I could easily see them getting best musical, book, score, orchestrations, supporting actor and actress
Scenic, choreo, and costumes to Moulin Rouge is pretty much a lock.
I am a little worried, however, that at this point Hadestown will delay their transfer again. It's not like they haven't done it before. I can't get excited till we have a set date.
Hadestown will be in the 2019-20 season. It’s in London this season in the winter and I doubt the transfer would happen immediately. It will get some Olivier Awards and do well at the Tonys I’m sure.
I feel like Girl From the North Country will transfer and we'll have a Tootsie vs. Girl From the North Country season. Maybe Jagged Little Pill will stumble into the mix too.

If Ain’t Too Proud opens in the spring, which I think it will, I would not count it out by any means I saw it DC and it’s 2:20 of great entertainment. It broke every record at Berkeley Rep and I think the run at The Kennedy Center was pretty much sold out as well. We’ll know more after we see the critical response when it opens in LA on Tuesday (Aug. 21)

That's what I heard
"Anything you do, let it it come from you--then it will be new."
Sunday in the Park with George
with new data track TONY voter system this year, if one doesn't see EVERY show in a category that has been nominated - no get to voteeee. So folks be racing to BITB. I think it'll do just fine cuzza that.
A lover of theater for decades. Teacher by day. Family man by night. See more theater than most, oftentimes a hesitant plus one.
I was going to say Salazar as well. I think they could get Best Musical/Book/Score, depending on the competition. Orchestrations and maybe Direction as well

Lighting Design, definitely. Scenic Design...idk about that. George will for sure get recognized for Featured Actor.

Says the same person who has heaped copious amounts of praise on Girl From the North Country, which hasn't even announced a transfer, despite the rumors. And besides, what if Tootsie turns out like Pretty Woman? I'm not saying it will, but what if it turned out to not be this super amazing thing that everyone is hoping it will be? David Yazbek and Scott Ellis are sort of the guiding light for that show, but still...
We shouldn't assume things based on our sole opinions! I mean, this is the same board that thought that Great Comet would sweep, and then got the last word in by constantly bringing up the entire "what if ___ and ___ had transferred this season" bullcrap from this past season!
In my opinion, it's okay to have reservations on certain musicals. Take an earlier poster from this thread. Just because you liked the movie does not mean it will transfer to a worthy musical adaptation (see: 9 to 5, Rocky, most of the Disney shows, Ghost, etc.)
P.S. This isn't me being pessimistic; more or less, it's me pointing out that a lot of posters on these boards always feel the need to be a little 'facetious' whenever they post.
Um or maybe I know a couple of friends who were at the Tootsie workshop and said it was a phenomenal musical comedy and maybe I saw The Girl From the North Country in London and I saw Be More Chill Off Broadway. My predictions are not entirely baseless, and besides isn't that the whole point of this thread? To make absurd predictions long before the Tonys?
I thought Be More Chill was awful and I predict Tootsie will do better based upon what Ive heard and who is attached. I also think The Girl From the North Country will probably transfer and I think will win many awards.
Nobody even knows what tootsie is. Be more chill is actual theatre. Its an experince. Santino (who nobody even knows) wont beat out George. Will Roland will win. His performance was amazing.
