I just got an email from NYTW about tickets going on sale this afternoon and they still make mention of the Cheaptix program. I really hate that they changed this from the Sunday thing that you could only purchase at the box office.

We'll see how it goes at noon. Fingers crossed!

I sent them a Facebook message last night and they just got back to me saying more tickets would be available at noon... Glad I'm not the only one curious about how they handle CheapTix
NYTW's current production is on TDF often for $28, when regularly priced at $65+ on NYTW's website. Will Lazarus sell out quickly and will it be worth it to grab a ticket this afternoon? Will this really sell out that fast?

I would NOT bank on Lazarus being available from TDF. This will be a hot ticket.
Good to know, neon. Thanks! I wasn't sure how common that sort of thing was for a NYTW production and when I noticed Fondly, Colette being up there pretty frequently I figured I'd ask. I'll plan on buying a ticket at noon!

Dangit! There were two left, I clicked one and it was gone.
They were all gone in under 60 seconds. Insane.

I got one in my cart but can't possibly checkout. Very very frustrating.
Got two front row for the first date I picked.

Me too. It says This Page Can't be Displayed when I get to the payment screen.
Still seeing a bunch of seats for mid-late December...

Keep trying. I finally got it to work by going back to my cart and selecting checkout. I had to do it like 10 times but it finally went through.

Pretty sure everyone is referring to the mythical CheapTix that never existed to anyone but members that can clearly afford the regular tickets. Piss poor operation.

Had two tickets, went to checkout and the site crashed. Showed the first two previews as sold out, but I kept refreshing and eventually one ticket showed up so I swooped in and bought it!! Very excited.

I have been trying and always got this terrible useless error message.
AN ERROR HAS OCCURED.
No more details are available for this error.

Guessing it's high traffic because the same thing kept happening to me then magically it worked.
How were the cheap tickets marked on the seating chart? I'm seeing only two colors of blue, both $99. Is that because the cheap tix are sold out?

Oh, I go discount as often as possible to things, but not when the odds are this stacked against people even getting a ticket at all, unless they extend the run (assuming it is any good, heh)

So upset and angry. I had a fantastic seat in my cart, went to check-out and due to a glitch lost the seat. And by the time I was able to get back to the seating chart, both performances were sold out. I simply can't afford a full-price seat, so I guess I'll have to miss it. Oh, well.
Actually stayed home all morning to do this, and have been on the NYTW site for the past hour.

What's your glitch? I couldn't check out even the ticket was in my cart. Just some generic an error has occurred message.

I didn't get an error message. Mine just kept taking me back to the home-page every time I clicked the button to check-out. Now, I've lost my seat and by the time I tried to get back in to grab it again, it was gone.
I wasn't able to get a ticket, full price or otherwise.

Past hour? Tickets have only been on sale for 25 minutes. That's a lot of disasterbating.

Can't go at the end of December? Still seeing tickets...
