I've been lucky enough to see great shows such as Kristin's last, Idina's last, Jen's last. But that's all Wicked, so I have some others in different shows that would have been nice:

Les Miz final performance
Original Rent cast members' last days
The Boy From Oz
Aida
Gypsy

Perhaps he was at the theatre to pick up some of his things or visit friends but there is no way he actually performed.

he totally performed. it was during the time that they were selling the Broadway Cares/ Equity fights AIDS benefit, and when the show was over, and he stepped out to plug the charity, the place went nuts. He is also in my playbill, not as a foldout, but, like, printed in there, with his headshot and everything. does anybody know why he did phantom for that night only?

That's really weird. He was actually in the Playbill? During November? Weird, now I'm confused, lol. Cause I know he was in rehersals for Lestat at that time and even though Howard had been out a bit the role has several understudies...

I can't be the ONLY person who was actually at closing night of Les Mis. I'm shocked so many people have that listed, I was sure other people who weren't involved in the show were there.

And hang on, when did you win the discus?

Hello I have been watching this thread for two days already I was at the final performance of Les Miz It was incredible I had to beg, borrow and sell my body to get to see that performance It was incredible even sitting in the last row of the mezzanine. I was also at the final performance of the Boy From Oz and Miss Saigon too The Boy From Oz closing performance was unbelievable The audience was wild and for those of you who are old enough to remember I was also at the closing performance of A Chorus Line I had a mezzanine seat that cost $250 for the performance Orchestra was $500 and I couldnt afford that I thought After the evening was over I wished I had spent the higher price because the electricity in that audience was enough to keep one awake for months

Cant wait for A Chorus Line to come back in the Fall

Phantom should definitely be the longest running show CATS should be ashamed to have that distinction

I also can't wait until A Chorus Line comes back. I'm seeing it for my birthday since previews begin a few days before it.
