Was wondering what props from the shows you might have.
Perhaps you were in a show and 'borrowed' something or perhaps you bought something on-line, received something as a gift or acquired it another way?
I did a search but couldn't find a thread about props we own, so thought I'd start one!
The only prop I have is a plastic rose thrown to me by Roxie during a performance of Chicago in London. Jennifer Ellison was playing the character, interestingly Billy Flynn was played by John 'Torchwood' Barrowman.
I HAD an Audrey 2 seedling that was given to me by one of the chorus girls during Little Shop of Horrors - but it was collected from me as I left the auditorium! Doh!
Yes,I know: LESS THAN IMPRESSIVE...so, what have you got?
Items I have were purchased at the Broadway Flea Market years ago:
The Phantom of the Opera: - Red Noose (currently hanging in my house) - Letter used on Stage from "O.G." (in the closet) - Crystals and plastic pieces from the chandelier (in the closet)
Cats: many items from the theater from when it was dismantled all on display about my bar as a mini-junkyard - several of the red, green, yellow bulbs that were strung up - cracked plate with rope spaghetti - can of Brim coffee - whole dead fish (bones) - Nabisco "Chocolate Snaps" shoe from Battle of Peaks & Pollicles - Chesterfield King cigarettes glove from Battle of P & P - Fast Food Container - Can of Tuna - broken metal fork - Roach/Beetle Costume from the Gumbie Cat complete with torso, head piece, 2 arm and 2 leg pieces
Noises Off - a rubber sardine (flew off stage into the audience)
I have the red bull can Emma Hunton used in her only Broadway performance as Natalie in Next to Normal, as well as my juice box from when I was a guest speller in Spelling Bee. I also caught a fake check at Catch Me If You Can, but I gave it to my friend.
I used to have three of the clear, plastic suitcases used in the City Ballet production of PAMTGG, and they, along with many other things, were destroyed in an earthquake. I paid next to nothing for them, because City was clearing out its costume and prop warehouse. The work, BTW, is legendary for the fact that no one, not even the choreographer, will acknowledge its existence anymore. LOL
And the title? Seriously: "Pan Am Makes the Going Great", an entire ballet built around a jingle.
I have the wooden tea tray and a little box of Cocoa Pops cereal from THE SEAFARER (both autographed by the cast, both bought at the Flea Market)
And several LES MIS paper props (yellow Ticket of Leave, Valejean's letter to Cosette, Aux Armes pamphlet) that I picked up along the years, not sure where
I was on a mission to have my Ticket of Leave signed by every Valjean I saw, but I somehow got out of that habit
I also have a jar of 'snow' from every show I've seen where I could grab some at intermission or the end (like SLAVA'S SNOW SHOW, JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN, WINTUK, and 4 or 5 others). Some are paper squares, some flakes, some plastic snow. It's kind of fun
You don't go to the dragon without a present - Mark Rylance
From the San Francisco production of Wicked I have a Wizomania ticket, Elphaba's letter from "What is This Feeling?", and the letter from Fiyero to Elphaba that from "For Good". I got them from the Elphaba dresser for that production.
The grape Tony Shalhoub spit out into the audience landed right at my foot. I debated the rest of the act about taking it, but thought it would be weird picking it up since it was in his mouth :-P
I have confetti from too many different shows to list. Mylar circle "razzle dazzles" from CHICAGO. A ping pong ball from PRISCILLA. A piece of June's letter and an apple from GYPSY. 2 roses from CHICAGO (Marily Henner and Nancy Hess.) Opening night martini glasses from THE WILD PARTY. And some beads off of some costume or other from LA CAGE!
I have a bag of (fake) heroin from the original cast of Rent...I was in the first row, and when Roger (Adam Pascal)threw it, it landed in front of me, so I took it...
I've probably thrown it out, but I did have some of the "Rent" posters from the title number. When it was on Broadway (I was in lotto seats), whoever was playing Roger didn't quite hit the garbage can, and 2 of the crumbled posters landed in my lap.
* "Funny Boy" program from The Producers * A prop check from The Producers * All the "notes" from The Phantom of the Opera * "Il Muto" sheet music from The Phantom of the Opera (which isn't actually sheet music of the actual score) * Auction and Il Muto prgrams from The Phantom of the Opera * Billy's Royal Ballet acceptance letter from Billy Elliot * Speller entrance forms from The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee * Word definition index cards from The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee
Broken CD from Memphis. "Love Happened Here" flyers from American Idiot, as well as Stark Sands' Good Riddance guitar pick. Spiderman, fake money from front row.
A jump rope and an Elle Woods resume from Legally Blonde and then random Playbill inserts I've saved over the years that are themed from the show (a Be-In flier from Hair, a Super Senior Prom program from The Marvelous Wonderettes, a few voting ballots from Marvelous Wonderettes)
I have one of the letters Moritz reads during "And Then There were None". Ask and ye shall receive!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Rent - matches from light my candle, Mimi's stash, a few guitar picks, CBGB's posters, "the key"
Priscilla - confetti, ping pong ball
Jersey boys - a few claim cheques
Spamalot - the grail was found under my seat and I went up on stage and received a certificate and tin of spam
Rock of ages - a lighter
Wedding singer - the towel thrown by the 'granny'
Hair - a few of the big daisies they throw around during the Be-in
Xanadu - glow stick
I think I'm missing some but that's a good list..
