Does anyoen know if any shows are canceled tomorrow??
none. Broadway shows rarely cancelled due to snow. If any are cancelled, we'll find out tomorrow around noon.
OH NOOOO! Are things that bad in NYC?
Do you think the city might be back on schedule Thurs?
Wickud and N2N definitely.
I just heard that schools are already closed for Wednesday in NYC.
Telecharge has a notice up that says all Wednesday shows are being performed as scheduled.
I saw Night Music the night of the December storm, and I think that one was worse than this one is going to be, for New York, at least.
But, what if I get to Penn Station tomorrow for the matinee and they shut the city down? I'll have no show and no ride home, with nowhere to stay. They should cancel so that doesn't happen.

That happened to me the night of the World Series game that was rained out in NY. I had gone to see a matinee of South Pacific with my family and we ended up getting stranded because the storm caused trouble with the electic signals. Ended up getting two $500 hotel rooms since there were four people.
I don't think the city will shut down. And you can always sleep in Penn Station.

I am going to a matinee tomorrow, hopefully there will be no problems getting back home. If so, guess I will see another show tomorrow night, probably have a good chance winning a lottery : )

In 2006 there were 26 inches of snow in Central Park and all Boadway shows still went on.
Eh. Nothing wrong with getting a little shut eye in Penn Station. Folks do it all the time!

Snow days are a great time to get last minute cancelations.
It's probably one of the better places to be stuck sleeping in. At least there'd be food!
Hotel Carter it is then. That's the only place I can think of that would have rooms and I can afford.
And I was totally kidding about being abandoned. Honestly, I would just see the situation as a new adventure.
I hate to be a bubble burster but the MTA cops won't let you sleep. I find it funny that they flirt with the young girls there coming home after a night out in the city. However, when it comes to sleeping they wake you up.

Hotel rates are a lot more reasonable this time of year if it came to that...and there are several decent choices along 31st and 32nd St you could probably get for under $200 depending on availability.
But then again, a train station sleepover would be an adventure:)
The snow will be winding down in the late evening tomorrow. Even if the winds cancel some afternoon trains, I imagine the late trains will run fine.
Winston, you have to be very cagey about it. Sleep a little here, move around to another spot, sleep a little there. It's doable.

I thought if you were in the designated waiting areas (which proves you're a ticketed passenger) they don't really care.
I don't think I really want to know how Winston knows that.
Or Girly, either.
