What about arbra Streisand in Hello Dolly

I'm so sad Barbra's sister, Arbra, has been so overlooked and overshadowed by her sister. I agree that she's a true talent.

She has not done as well as her sister in show business but her ownership of the second largest sandwich chain (with the worst french fries) eclipses her sister's entertainment empire.

Unfortunately, however, when they were completing all the legal requirements to get the restaurant up and running, the lawyers misspelled her name with a "y." Just another chapter in her horrible life of being overlooked.

I’ve been to Arbra’s basement mall. It just has a Radio Shack, Orange Julius and Burlington Coat Factory.

arbra does NOT capitalize her first name, and you all are committing egregious micro-aggressions by doing so.

And she is also NOT a gypsy, contrary to foul popular rumor; she identifies as "ypsy."

I think her performances in entl, hat's up, doc, and (maybe most of all) rince of tides are benchmarks.

Maybe it's due to the fact that I'm super sick and really tired and not thinking straight, but when I read the first 3 comments on this thread I was like "I never knew Barbra had a sister named Arbra! Duh! I'm ROFL at these comments!

Barbra is one of the most talented performers in entertainment history- along with so many other greats who stand and will stand the test of time. And though she knew she was miscast in Dolly- she still gave it her all and put in a credible, funny, authentically Streisand performance- and the voice was glorious- no one can touch her renditions of a few of the songs, IMO. As a perceived Jewish ugly ducking, she did everything she could do to get noticed- including spelling her name wrong- a touch of genius. Leave my Barbra- and her mall and goyishe husband if he is the next target- alone. Can anyone posting on this board match Streisand's achievements- even a little? Pick on Donald Trump.

She'd never step into this Dolly, as she has answered, she would do Broadway again if it played in Malibu and was performed once a week!
But she should so step into this production! It would be a crowning glory of her career- back on Broadway in a role she is now right for (I loved her in the movie, btw). Instead of another duets album or buying rights to a property that never materializes into a film, this turn would knock every show on Broadway on their ears! Just some wishful thinking.

No one is picking on Barbra.....they are mocking the OP for his lack of typing and proofreading skills.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Yes- Barbra in Dolly- for a three week engagement after Bette's money grab- but the tickets will not be cheap- they will start at 5,000 for the balcony- and premium seats will go for 30,000 a seat- plus fees.

Wow. arbra would be disappointed in your lack of a sense of humor...we are honoring her life!!

I guess I did not get it- sorry- really did think the posts were mocking her- I loves me my Barbra- always have. Maybe I am a tad defensive.

No I’m gonna say a tad humorless, not defensive
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian
