I know I'm going out on a limb with some of them but I felt like being a little risky this year.

I actually feel you picked the safest path.
Really? I mean the general consensus seems that Gaines, Szot, Norton, and Sher will all win in their respective categories, that Passing Strange will win for Book and Orchestrations, and that South Pacific will take Sound Design.
I am liking these. Author Laurents isn't going to get Direction It's going to be either South Pacific (Can't remember his name) or Thomas Kail. ITH is the only show in that category that isn't a revival so that may help Thomas. Also it could be an ITH default.
But I agree with a lot of yours, except I think the design awards (lighting, costumes, set) will be more spread out maybe one to Sunday, one to South Pacific, and one to ITH. I am also not sure if Daniel Breaker will get it or not. It's a tight race this year
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for McCormack...she's incredible in BOEING-BOEING and I really hope that Stewart, or anyone else for that matter, wins over Rylance. I hated his performance.
At least in the major categories, those could be expected to win. I think Miranda has been mentioned enough (risky for me would be mentioning Evans or Wopat).
I do like the Laurents prediction, though.
Are these your predictions or your wish list?

I haven't seen In the Heights, but I thought quite a few people mentioned that they'd take Best Choreography.
There has been a toss up for choreography. It's between ITH and Cry Baby. It's the only good thing about Cry Baby so that is why it may get it. But I think ITH is very creative.
Just a few comments on your predictions:
1. Lin-Manuel Miranda- I love him, but I dont see him winning, its between Szot & Evans.. most likely its Szot.
*besides I dont really think Miranda is as good as Szot & Evans (acting wise & singing-not in the same league in my opinion)
2. Scenic Design? most likely it will go to Sunday in the Park.
3. Direction in a Musical- Iove Laurents but I think it will go to Bartleet Sher
4. Score : I truly believe if they will give the TONYS to ITH..they will give the score to PS (just me two cents)
5. Choreography- love love Ashford, but its ITH's year... I think they will give it to Blakenbuehler & Co.
btw- I have to give it to you...at least you did not come up with some out of this world prediction that XANADU will win the Tonys for Best Musical! lol!
note: I am not trying to be scarcastic, just being "realistic" and "honest" dont get me wrong, my fellow fANADUs!
well...we will see tomorrow! cant wait!

The choreography in Cry-Baby is fantastic, but I can easily see people choosing not to vote for it just so not to reward the show.

august, duh.
I wish that for once, or at least after many years, they could reward the best - with no politics or agendas.
I agree with emcee..sometimes they DO that..just to spite a "particular" show. I think that Rob Ashford did an incredible job! This is one of those category that I go....Prediction (ITH) but wishing for Rob Ashford ! (CB) and my friend burnsy will agree to that!

Best Musical
Xanadu (anyone except ITH will be fine with me)
These are predictions not opinions. It's like you joined the board just to bash ITH.
featured in a play is going to be McCormack...I hope
Wicked,
I think you nailed a ton of them ! Would love to see Blakenbuehler win, but I keep hearing Choreography going to "Cry-Baby"-
Love the Rylance pick, but really hope Norton wins over Esparza, who I thought was the weakest link in "The Homecoming".
And fanadu--- first of all, we get the point--- you joined to trash "ITH"---
And while I LOVE "Xanadu" and its cast, (which Jay* can attest to) it is not winning Best Musical. Would not mind it if did (at all!), but its not going to win.
Book is its best chance.
And if you think Lin cant act, you didnt pay attention to the show. Listening to many critics over the last two weeks, Miranda has a chance to win, because while Szot has a beautiful voice, he is stiff as a board on stage. (not my opinion, as I did not see his performance.)
The Seafarer has to get SOMETHING. It is a shame it is up against August, because it was a really great play.

Oo, I forgot about McCormack! I do hope she takes it...
And if Rylance wins, we are gonna be in for one hell of a speech...
Both Riedel and another gentleman that were on the "Theatre Talk" Tony panel this week said that they liked "Seafarer" better than "August"- (Yes, I know "August" is a lock)
I would be really shocked if Norton did not win, but you keep reading that Esparza could take it.
Hill was better than Esparza (as was Hinds) IMHO.
Honestly, I have not missed a show like I miss "The Seafarer" in quite a long time !!
"Both Riedel and another gentleman that were on the "Theatre Talk" Tony panel this week said that they liked "Seafarer" better than "August"
As did I.

And I, as well !!!
I've seen South Pacific predicted as the winner of Best Scenic Design of a Musical in several places now.
I swear, if it takes Best Scenic Design over the INCREDIBLE, GROUND-BREAKING work done in Sunday in the Park with George, something is VERY wrong.
(Sidebar: I HATE that Daniel Evans seems to be completely out of the running. God, I loved the Sunday revival).
