Hi Guys!
I'm going into the city the 24th and am going to see the night perf of First date but am torn on what to see for a matinee.
Spiderman, Cinderella? I'm also open to other suggestions to rush
Thanks!
Well... that's apples and oranges.
Go with which one interests you more.

What The Headband said.
To be honest I haven't seen Cinderella but I did see Spiderman and it wasn't very good. I would definetly suggest Cinderella. Enjoy whichever show you decide to see!
Since you were open to suggestions: Pippin is a joy.
If you're going to rush PIPPIN though you're going to have to be up at the ass crack of dawn.

I'd love to see pippin, but I can't get to the city early enough =/
I may try to rush it another day though.
I haven't heard one person rave about Spidey...

Just like someone else we know, Clyde...
Between those two, as others have said, it's Cinderella for sure. Not close.
Laura Osnes, that is all. (Cinderella...)

I will humbly admit that as a guilt pleasure I enjoyed Spiderman.
I actually listen to the Spiderman OBCR.
Saw the trainwreck V1 and V2. The improvements made the difference for me. The show is a spectacle...and as many say a trainwreck too.
Full disclosure - I have not seen Cinderella.

I actually enjoyed both shows. Cinderella has the better score in my opinion though, and the show is beautiful. The costume and transformations are quite a treat to see live. Cinderella also has a great cast.
Spiderman is a different kind of musical, its score is more rock and roll, and thus not classic like Cinderella. But I enjoyed that too. (The reason why I said Cinderella has the better score is because there are a song or two in Spiderman that I did not care for.) But that didn't matter much to me, I enjoyed the show just the same. The stunts are pretty cool too.
They are quite different, so choose the plot/style you prefer. And whichever you choose, have fun!
And Brian07663NJ, I listen to the Spiderman OBCR too! There are some songs in there that I actually really like, and I will gladly admit it! Everyone has different tastes and opinions right?

I haven't seen Spiderman but I was pleasantly surprised by Cinderella. It's got the fairy tale as its framework, but the book is updated and often amusing.

On these boards? That's a laugh.

Cinderella!
Why? A better score, a better book, a better cast.

Cinderella, but it really depends on what you want. Spider-Man is somewhat impressive in occasional fleeting moments. If that matters, consider flipping a coin.

Haven't seen Cinderella. I'm one of the few on this board that enjoyed Spider-Man, but I don't think I'd pay full price to see it again.

Even with it's flaws, CINDERELLA.

Cinderella. Saw both and it is not close
I have seen neither and I am not a singer nor musician.
But Danny Troob's orchestrations for CINDERELLA are so gorgeous I would happily pay to hear them even without the singers or sets.
Cinderella
Cinderella, no other way. Better score, book, characters, design, etc.
