Could Hair be a possible candidate, I am not quite sure if its name has been attached to the Neaderlanders so it might not be there.

EDIT: I guess I should have said quirky shows, not Off-Broadway shows. The shows that seem more arty and hard-sells like Caroline, or Change or Spring Awakening or even the Sweeney Todd revival. Updated On: 10/23/08 at 08:31 PM
It's a great sized theater.
If all goes well, Road Show? Fela! seems more likely though.

I had no Idea Caroline or Change was an Off-Broadway show!! I didn't even know it played at the Eugene O'Neill!!! I learned something new today!!! Thanks RentBoy86
Well it seems like ROAD SHOW won't have too much trouble finding a theater, granted the reviews are great.
Being that he's 78 and that he hasn't had a new show in New York in so long AND that he's Stephen Sondheim, the critics should just give unanimous raves. Let's hope!
Wasn't there rumors of a Merrily We Roll Along revival? What about that going there... of course I could totally be making that up.

Road Show should go in the Neil Simon

Maybe a transfer? I could see Gypsy there.
MERRILY will be produced by Roundabout in about 2010, and that will play one of thier theaters.

Here's what I think:
Neil Simon: Brigadoon
Eugene O'Niel: FELA
Shubert or Lyceum: Hair

I doubt that Gypsy will live after Lupone is gone.
The reason why they brought Gypsy to Broadway was because it was with Lupone. Had she not been in the show then they might not have brought it back to Broadway to begin with.
I thin Hair would be great at the Shubert, the Lyceum seems too small. Gypsy is staying where it is.

Here's my question.
What are those shows that can't find financing going to blame it on now? (It's been "No Empty Theatres" for awhile.)
Now, they're going to be forced to say "Hey, No Money!"
I think putting HAIR in the Shubert seems like a risky idea.
It's a great production and all but the Shubert feels too big for me for this show...HAIR (this production in particular) works well in an intimate setting. I think the Shubert stage is way too big for this production unless they design more intricate sets which I don't think is required. I dunno...should be interesting to see how these temporarily empty theaters will fill up in the next few months...
The Eugene O'Neill is the PERFECT size for HAIR.
It would be the perfect size for FELA as well, but I would rather see HAIR go there.
The Eugene O'Neill is a Jujamcyn owned theatre. Hair needs to go into a Shubert owned theatre as far as I understand.
damn, HAIR would have been fierce at the O'Neill.

Fela! is opening at the O'Neill in late April, shortly before the Tony cut-off.

i also heard Fela is almost definitely opening at the O'Neill in the- and that the SpringAwakening producers want to make sure the theater is still available to them thru early March. AHEM extension.
