My crystal ball says now that Xanadu has closed she's taking what she learned and joining Starlight Express in Germany.

Posted: 9/30/08 at 8:55amI was thinking Disney, maybe... Though i couldn't see her as anything in Poppins, though maybe Ariel in Mermaid.

Posted: 9/30/08 at 9:46amWhat she said at the stage door this weekend was she had several things she was attached to in some way and was waiting to see which one would be a go. But not to worry- she'd be working again soon.

Her character was basically "killed off" on "Lipstick Jungle"
(Cheyenne supposed to be on this season, btw)
I believe she is doing a concert at La Jolla (sp?)
in Oct--- I believe the 24th.

She is too old for Ariel, completely wrong for Mary Poppins, and after receiving a Tony nod for headlining a beloved show like XANADU there is absolutely no reason for her to replace anyone in WICKED, let alone MAMMA MIA.
I would advise not getting too excited about the pilot until it happens. It's shocking the number of stage actors who shoot pilots during pilot season, and the majority of those pilots either don't get picked up or don't survive past the first couple shows.

Just a little bump.... for all of you DisneyWorld fans.. (I know there are a few of you on the boards)
Was on the train tonight, and reading the latest
"Mickey Monitor" (Winter 200
, and there was Kerry !!! She did a little article/interview about going to the "Xmas Party"
They also mentioned her CD (and the chance of a Grammy)
Cant find a link to post the article. Not sure if it is available on-line.

Someone ought to let Carolee Carmello know that.

Carolee Carmello is headlining the show, and by this point, stage Donna is more associated with her than with Louise Pietre who opened the show on Broadway. Kerry is too young-looking to play Donna and it'd be a ridiculous career move to go into the show as Sophie.
I'm sure she's more concentrated on creating new roles, star in some sort of revival, or like someone said on this thread, try her luck in the TV/film industry.

Posted: 11/6/08 at 12:20amKerry has spent a good deal of her career playing teenagers, even after she hit 30. Now that she's finally starting to look her age (but still gorgeous), she has to carve a new niche for herself. Xanadu did that for her a good deal I think, although soon she's going to have fully outgrown the quirky/spunky ingenue type. Where she will go from there is anyone's guess.
