Where did he come from, and where did he get his money?  Is he the next big Broadway producer?

He already is a big Broadway producer. He's extremely prolific and much of his work has been good (though largely developed by other people).

It's not like he came out of nowhere. His first co-producer credit was more than 10 years ago and also lead-produced the transfer of the brilliant Pie Shop Sweeney.

Producers don't need to have a dime. They simply need access to people with money and the skill to build relationships. He partnered with the deep-pocketed Jana Shea early on, and now has a slew of investors and co-producers at his fingertips and, most importantly, top-tier talent that wants to work with him.

He’s now 33 and is from Branford, CT and pretty much a savvy entrepreneur. He started in the 4th grade producing plays as fundraisers for his friend suffering from ALD. These little plays gained popularity which prompted investors to future plays so he gained a reputation locally for years.

He was barely 20 when he fell in love with a shoestring regional theater production called The Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. To join the team bringing it to Broadway, he raised $175,000 from investors in two months. With no money of his own, he reached out to people from his hometown of Branford, CT, who decided to take a chance on him. The show ended up winning the Tony for Best Musical, recouping its $7.5 million investment and grossing more than $60 million.

BrodyFosse didn’t write most of it, he paraphrases and lifts directly from literally the first pertinent link on Google

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

I understand he owns frikki tikki.  And he also produced Lempicka and is doing Mattress and Queen of Versailles.  I’m only impressed with producers who actually start their own projects like Cameron Mackintosh and Scott Rudin and David Merrick

Everything you write sounds like an alternate universe Donald Trump in which he continued producing theatre.

I’m actually in the minority that HATES Friki Tiki. I’ve been multiple times. Every time it’s bad food, bad drinks, and a confusing atmosphere and vibe that shifts at the drop of a hat. I’ve stopped going and changed my friend’s minds when they want to go. I’ve given it plenty of chances.

Then why not post the link instead of coming off psychotic? Also, what a crazy thing for a person to write about themselves.

also fwiw he was the guy lambasting star cast productions… then everyone was quick to point out that that’s how they’d talk about HIS productions. Little self awareness.

He’s 33?! I could have sworn he was ~47 at least.

Unless that write up is from years ago…

Well, you’ll have to ask BrodyFosse why he decided to plagiarize. But Nobile didn’t write this himself- it’s from his Forbes 40 Under 40 write up. It’s a puff piece.

And yes, Nobile made the baffling choice to mock the Time Out NY critic Adam Feldman after his negative review of Lempicka as somebody who only likes movie adaptations and star casting… and that was immediately after Seaview announced Kit Connor and Rachel Zegler in Romeo & Juliet but just before they announced George Clooney’s Good Night and Good Luck adaptation. And then of course they’re also doing The Last 5 Years as well. Seaview does produce original work and offbeat things off-Broadway but it’s pretty clear that star-driven productions are the major pillar of their producing model. And it’s working.

For once, you're right -- Kad does have a wealth of knowledge and well thought-out opinions we could all learn from. "Professor Kad"  works for me.
