What tracks do you skip over?

Ok BwayLedMan just started a really good thread about what cast recording we listen to all the way through without skipping a song.
So, now let's discuss what songs we skip and why.

For me, I can't do a full listen to Wicked unless I skip "Something Bad" that song just get on my nerves!

Hairspray is always more enjoyable for me if I skip, "It takes Two"

I always skip "Books" when I listen to A Man of No Importance, and "Who'll Be the One (If Not Me)" when I listen to Violet.

"Books" is one of my least favorite songs in musical theatre, it's just SO obnoxious, and "Who'll Be the One" is just too country sounding for my LA sensibilities :0)

i usually skip over "Music of the Night" on POTO, i grew up listening to it so it kinda bores me on cd.

All of cosettes songs in Les Mis, never really do anything for me

Yes, I know my profile name is spelled incorrectly. That's what happens when you don't spell check and just push done. I wear it as a reminder to spell check.

"Inner Peace" from Bring Back Birdie...the only bad song on that cast recording.

I skip over "Timeless to Me" from Hairspray, because although I adore Harvey, his voice is a little too much to handle on that track.

I skip over "Chimp in a Suit" from DRS, because I just don't think the song fits the mood of the rest of the recording.

I usually skip over "Kiss Me" in Sweeney, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. I want to get to "Pretty Women" faster, though, and that's the sacrifice.

"Over the Moon" in RENT (nothing against Idina, but I just find the song stupid just on the recording).
"Something Bad", "A Sentimental Man", and "Wonderful" in Wicked.
"Bui Doi" in "Miss Saigon" (I can't stand the way the man who played John pronounces "Children").
"Don't Cry Out Loud" from "The Boy From Oz" (the night I saw the show, the understudy for this part was on, and she was awful).

"Chu-Chi Face"--Chitty (I guess it's better live, it didn't do much for me on the CD)
"The Roses of Success"--Chitty
"I'd Be Suprisingly Good for You"--Evita movie soundtrack
"Master of the House"--Les Miz London cast (TOO SLOW.)
"A Sentimental Man"--Wicked
"Laker Girls Cheer"--Spamalot
"Brave Sir Robin"--Spamalot (Mainly because I've heard it in the movie a lot)

How could I forget that? I just skipped it on the last listening!!
Yes, "Chimp in a Suit" doesn't work for me on the recording, but I liked it in the show.

Oh no you didnt! Hah...I LOOOOVVVVVEEEEE "It Takes Two" and its a main reason that I want to play that part. That song is my favourite (with the exception of "Without Love") and I love sing the $hit out of it.

the schmuel song on L5Y. i can't stand it and it's soooo long

I always skip to Rent on the OBCR.

I hate the Wicked tracks mentioned above/ both I'm not that girls

There are a lot on parade, especially "letter to the governer".

It takes two on Lippa's wild party irritates me too, especially since it follow the wonderful title track.

Sometimes I skip "American Dancing" on Light in the Piazza, mostly cuz I love "Passeggiata"

I skip the ENTIRE second disc of Les Miz...

Hakuna Matata on The Lion King
Mr. Cellophane on any version of Chicago

I agree with whoever said Timeless to Me from Hairspray...though seeing it is great and Jim J. Bullock and the guy who plays Edna should record it...they are excellent.

And until I heard Lauren Molina sing it in the revival, I always skipped Green Finch and Linnet Bird on the Sweeney Todd CD.

depending on my mood i sometimes skip any song i don't sing along with on cd's

but on a standard go at it

"Radames Letter" - Aida (the funny thing is, when I forget to skip it, I realize I like it, but it never impresses me within the first two seconds so I'm all "Skip!")

"Making a Home" - March of the Falsettos (considering it's sandwiched between the two best songs evarr)

"Surabaya-Santa" - Songs For a New World

"Real Life" - Tick Tick Boom (another song I actually like, but always forget)

"My Dogs" - Elegies: A Song Cycle

I do the same exact thing with "Radames Letter" just because i love the songs that are coming up after it. But, it really is a pretty song.

I skip the first couple minutes of the Overture of Piazza, until around the last minute. I just can't wait till Kelli's part!

In wicked I skip over "Something Bad" and in Rent for some reason I dont like listening to "Over the moon" unless Im watching it

"Over the Moon" in Rent ... I like it fine in the movie or in the show ... but it slows me down when I want to sing along in the car. :) I used to skip "Without You" on my OBCR because I never really liked the song and I felt the play was a little slow there, but now that I have more visual images I like it a lot more.

Normally, I skip over "Over The Moon" in RENT. I also skip over "Prima Donna" in POTO...I can't stand that song. For Chicago, I skip over "Funny Honey."
